Dharma Righteousness and Adharma Lawlessness Lord Krishna

Query: When do Dharma Righteousness prevail over Adharma Lawlessness as per Lord Krishna?

Vijay Kumar:
In the battle between forces of Dharma (righteousness) and Adharma (lawlessness)... to undo the evil of evil-mongers... even a hard-core spiritualist like Lord Krishna had to resort to same means adopted by opponents! To fight evil... become evil becomes the order of the game!

In Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna clearly emphasizes that to save lives of hundreds of people... killing one never incurs sin! If a person is hell-bent on creating hell amongst masses... as per Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita... one can indulge in any tactics (right or wrong) to face the enemy!

Our goal of life always remaining... welfare of mankind! If the goal of our life is benefit of masses... we retain our right to indulge in activities that may not be termed ethical or moral! We can cut iron only by iron... never a sponge! Leo Tolstoy rightly said... all is fair in love and war!

The whole doctrine of Bhagavad Gita... the teachings of Lord Krishna emphasizes only one point... re-establishing Dharma (righteousness) against all odds in which he finally succeeded! While imparting teachings of Bhagavad Gita to King Arjuna... Lord Krishna emphasized that the enemy cannot be won using only right means!

This point is evidently clear in the war of Mahabharata! Prince Abhimanyu... son of King Arjuna who was not yet a major was killed in the battle by deceit by Kaurava forces! This led to Lord Krishna advising King Arjuna to use whatever means to punish the guilty.

When the enemy is using deceitful means to win the war... it is in our interest to use the same means to defeat the enemy! Mahabharata was the mother of all wars! It was a fight to the finish between Dharma (righteousness) and adharma (lawlessness)! Good had to prevail over evil under all costs!

Lord Krishna finally succeeded in persuading King Arjuna to fight battle of Dharma (righteousness) even though his opponents included his maternal grand uncle Bhishma Pitamah and his spiritual master guru Dronacharya! Both finally got killed in the battle of deceit!

Dharma (righteousness) always prevails in the end... so is the dictate of God Almighty! We have nothing to fear or lose. Fighting force of evil requires practising patience, persistence and perseverance of the highest order that can ever be practiced by human beings!

Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita is always considered an avatar (God manifest in human form)! In Hinduism an avatar is considered equivalent of God Almighty! A lone human being demonstrating almost supernatural powers... humanity considers such a one as a true representative of God Almighty!

In the entire history of mankind we had only one avatar... Lord Krishna till date! Same conditions as existing during times of Lord Krishna in Dwapar Yuga exist now! In present times people await coming of Bhagavan Kalki... an avatar of new-age... modern era!

Bhagavan Kalki would demonstrate almost equivalent powers that of Lord Krishna! To uphold Dharma, Bhagavan Kalki would also indulge in activities not in conformation with ethics or morality! To fight the evil forces of nature ruthlessness sometimes becomes necessary!

Chanakya... the most able administrator in history of mankind sometimes indulged in activities that were not in consonance with ethics or morality! Not for once a single human being on mother earth can point a finger towards administrative tactics of Chanakya. Why?

It is for the simple reason that Chanakya lived for welfare of mankind! For Chanakya... the welfare of masses was above all! He was the only kingmaker who finally succeeded in stopping the aggression of India repeatedly by foreign invaders!

It is a proved fact in Hinduism that to save lives of hundreds of thousands of countrymen and soldiers... Chanakya got killed hundred Kings in one night by getting them all poisoned! As per Bhagavad Gita, Chanakya still did not incur any sin for this act of his!

Those who blame such an enlightened one do not understand ABC of spirituality! Religionists... followers of rituals... the commoners eventually get misguided by half baked theories of so-called religious preachers! It is beyond capacity of religious followers to understand truthfully the crux of spirituality!

Most human beings on mother earth confuse religion with spirituality! Following religion one never reaches God! Indulging in rituals... going to temples churches or mosques carry no meaning! If we truly desire reaching God in our lifetime... we need follow the path of pure spirituality... path of jnana yoga (absolute wisdom)!

For following path of jnana yoga (absolute wisdom)... assimilating pearls of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita becomes necessary! One single document... the commentary of Bhagavad Gita by Lord Krishna in the battle of Mahabharata suffices for human beings to reach stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha)!
