You said most gurus followed Bhakti yoga but the few I know followed Kriya Yoga
- as propounded in Bhagavad Gita and revived by Mahaavtar Babaji.

The gist
of all forms of Yoga always remains the same! Why? Every form of Yoga truly leads
one towards the process of breathing. Who breathes... the human being or the soul
atman within! Truly it is our soul atman that seems to reside within our heart
needs breathing! The moment flow of air to the heart stops... the soul atman leaves
the body to decay and die!
If
the breathing process is the connecting link between human beings (the manifested
form) and our soul atman within... it is best we traverse the path of breathing
to reach the source! Lying in the Shavasana pose of Yoga if we truly concentrate
on our breathing process... we would ultimately realize God one-day.
Name
it Kriya Yoga, Raja Yoga, pranayama or vipassana... the essence of all is the
same! The paths can be slightly different... the mode of conducting Yoga can be
different... the gist of all always remains the same... reaching the end of breathing
point... our soul atman within! It is only lying in Shavasana pose of Yoga one
realizes the shallowness of ephemeral life!
Mahaavtar
Babaji or any other Saint for that purpose did not realize God! One look at their
literature if any makes everything clear. I have read the Autobiography of a Yogi
three times... it clearly points out why Paramhansa Yogananda and his revered
gurus did not gain enlightenment. For an enlightened soul... the writings must
be devoid of impurities in totality!
In
the house of God there is no place for miracles. Miracles are not there to be!
All is based on the process of karma. If we think I can give enlightenment to
one... it is a misnomer! It is not the capability of the spiritual Master... the
spiritual guru that is questionable... it is the karma of the student... the level
of the student that decides ones future course of life!
We simply cannot
expect mangoes to grow on a guava tree! As we sow so shall we reap... nothing
less or more! Once a human being with a dead child in his hand approached Mahavira
the 24 Tirthankara of Jainism with the request... "O enlightened one; if
you just touch the body of my child... he would breathe again! Mahavira bluntly
replied... there is no place for miracles in his life... please go back!
Whenever
a saint talks of miracles... the hollowness of the preaching become clear! The
entire Cosmos is directly governed by the doctrine of karma. As we perform...
as we enact our karma in present life... so shall be our future! A commoner who
married the Princess ultimately owed its existence not in a miracle but the karma
performed!
Once
a laborers son happened to sight the Princess of the state even though commoners
were banned to have a glimpse of the elite! The laborers son immediately expressed
to his mother that he would marry the Princess in this very life come whatever
may! The laborers son even though born in a lower caste had the makings of a king.
He
never dreamt for the sake of it. Inherently he realized the absolute truth of
life. He was born in the laborers house owing to the karma of the past lives...
the residual balance of karma of all the previous manifestations! But if requisite
karma be performed in present life that one could marry the Princess of the state...
be that so!
The
intelligent boy... the laborers son truly worked hard in this direction. He ultimately
manifested his destiny and settled down in life with Princess as his wife! In
whatever stage of life one is... whatever our karma index... the moment one reaches
the karma index of 8.400000... One finally transcends the physical manifest life
forever!
The house
of God is never disordered at any stage as has been expressed by the ignorant
scientist... the famous physicist Stephen Hawking in his famous book, "a
brief history of time". The poor Stephen Hawking fails to realize that it
is beyond his capability to understand the Wisdom of the Cosmos... the hidden
pearls of wisdom contained in the Sacred Bhagavad Gita!
It
is only after gaining enlightenment... the complete picture of the entire Cosmos
emerges before one. The truth behind big bang theory, why God Almighty created
the Cosmos, the definition of God Almighty, the doctrine of karma, human beings...
the highest manifest stage in the cosmic life cycle... all becomes absolutely
clear!
It is only
when one transcends the ephemeral world governed by five senses and the mind...
one gains absolute purity! The moment the soul atman regains its original pure
pristine form... it is the end of cosmic life for that soul atman forever! The
kingdom of God... the house of God (aka Baikuntha in Hinduism) is a place of no
return!
