I practice meditation almost regularly on path to realize Kundalini. I am married
and have a family and to practice celibacy for 12 years is almost quite impossible?
Should I give up this goal of awakening Kundalini?

Before we
move further... one thing should be born in mind that full awakening of the Kundalini
means reaching the stage of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa or Maharishi Ramana...
the two enlightened souls who fully awakened their Kundalini and reached the stage
of Nirvikalpa Samadhi when one can have a dialogue with God Almighty on one-to-one
basis and that too permanently.
Full
awakening of the Kundalini also means reaching the stage of enlightenment (kaivalya
jnana) and finally gaining salvation (moksha) in the present manifestation. Life
ceases to exist for the person who's Kundalini has fully awakened in present life.
One shall not be able to recognize thy brethren... young and old what to talk
of recognizing our own children and wife.
Having
reached the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi means becoming one with God Almighty!
The distinction between our children and all the children of the world gets eliminated.
We would fail to recognize our parents who gave us birth for after awakening of
the Kundalini Mother Earth becomes our Mother and God Almighty our Father.
Full
awakening of the Kundalini means reaching the stage of Mahavira, Gautama Buddha,
Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed! The variance in the stature of all these man
gods including Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana is that for reaching
from New Delhi to Bombay by train we have different modes available.
We
can either take the passenger train... the express... the super fast or the Rajdhani
express. All trains leading to the same goal. Whether we pursue the path advocated
by Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ, Prophet Mohammed, Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa
or Maharishi Ramana... the point is reaching the end of the journey... the final
goal of life!
Awakening
of the Kundalini simply means negating the impurities within our soul atman within.
As the soul atman gains more purity on the spiritual platform... we tend to gain
more and more mental and Tantric powers. If your goal of life is leading family
life, do not enter the arena of Kundalini awakening!
However,
while living in family life if you want to reach the stage of enlightenment and
salvation... you can definitely tread on this noble and illustrious path of Kundalini
awakening! Here I would like to clear one point and that is... as one tends to
gain Kundalini powers... we experience a phenomenal increase in our mental prowess.
I distinctly
remember in second year of engineering when I used to go through a book... it
was as if I had written the same! The workings of the physical manifest world
become secondary. The advantages of entering the spiritual domain are many...
to plunge or not to plunge is the domain and birthright of every individual!
I
have a family and two daughters yet I gained self realization in this life. I
do not know how many times I contemplated suicide on the spiritual path... how
many forlorn days and months I passed in life! People still consider me a perfect
mental case... yet; I know what I am and what I have achieved in this life!
I
strongly advocate people to refrain from excessive sexual indulgence. The vital
cosmic energy that becomes available to one on practicing celibacy every month
needs to be preserved so that one rises high on the spiritual platform gradually
and not all of a sudden. We simply need to reduce the frequency of sexual indulgences...
total abstinence not fully necessary!
We
must also learn the true meaning of meditation. Simply practicing meditation as
a ritual never helps. Meditation in Hindi means yoga... the effort of the soul
atman within to join God Almighty... the Parmatman... the Creator of the Cosmos...
the one and only God of all creation that manifests before us on the life supporting
planet mother earth.
And
how can that be done is explained now... following the path of Neti through the
Shavasana method... one finally reaches the abode of our soul atman... our soul
atman itself that resides in our heart! The moment that happens... our soul atman
having purified and liberated forever from the cycle of birth and death regains
its original pure pristine form!
Thereafter
it is a direct journey to the abode of God... the kingdom of God (aka Baikuntha
Hinduism). The purpose of all types of meditation and yoga is realizing our true
inner self... our soul atman within! The moment one reaches the 8.4 millionth
manifestation... the last leg in the cosmic life cycle... one finally gains enlightenment
and salvation!

I read your web page on Kundalini. I practice meditation almost regularly and
I was on a path to realize Kundalini. As I was reading your page, I realized that
I am nowhere close to my goals. This is quite discouraging for me. I am married
and have a family and to practice celibacy for 12 years is almost quite impossible
for me.
Should I give up this goal of awakening Kundalini? Will regular
meditation not help in attaining this goal?
