Query:
I am confused... when human being attains moksha salvation he stays there for
eternity or just till the dissolution of cosmos. Is this restarting of cosmic
journey after dissolution of the cosmos... pralaya in hinduism for those souls
who haven't achieved moksha as yet or for all the souls?
Vijay Kumar:
For
all practical purposes eternity means until we reach the end... and the end of
the Cosmos occurs when dissolution of the Cosmos takes place! Does it mean that
eternity and the time of dissolution of the Cosmos mean the same... yes, for all
practical purposes it means the same!
The
entire history of mankind is not more than 10,000 years old and the dissolution
of the Cosmos may occur some billions or trillions of years in the future! Such
a long period of time for all practical purposes is termed as eternity!
Baikuntha...
the kingdom of God exists until the dissolution of the Cosmos occurs! The moment
the whole Cosmos... devoid of all impurities dross reduces to the size of half
a thumb... it explodes with a big bang... and starts a new life cycle... beginning
of a new cosmos!
With
passage of time souls atmans manifest the human form. And this human form as and
when it reaches the stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation
(moksha)... gains access to the kingdom of God (aka Baikuntha in Hinduism).
With
every new cosmos... the cycle of life repeats by itself from the very beginning!
There is nothing like transition from one Cosmos to the next. At the time of dissolution
of the Cosmos in whatever stage every atman soul may be... all reach the stage
of enlightenment and finally salvation moksha. In other words all reach the kingdom
of God... Baikuntha in Hinduism!
As
long as the present Cosmos contains impurities... the complete dissolution of
the Cosmos can never occur! For the dissolution of the Cosmos to occur in its
entirety... every soul atman reaching its cosmic end is a necessity! Only then
the cluster of all purified souls atmans reaches its original pure pristine form...
termed as God Almighty.
The
moment this happens... God Almighty... the cluster of all purified souls atmans
in the Cosmos explodes with a big bang resulting in a new cosmos... a new beginning
of life! In every cosmic life cycle... every soul atman starts its cosmic journey
from the first manifestation as an amoeba... until the last as an enlightened
being!
In a cosmic
journey of billions and trillions of years... what value of human sojourn of 70
to 80 years! One need not think much about it. The goal of life in the human form
is to gain enlightenment and salvation. Why question entity of the Cosmos!
The
form of a human being is but a path for the soul atman within! It is our soul
atman that manifests the human form to work out its karma... remove the dross
impurities within! Whatever has been ordained by God Almighty... every single
living being simply needs following ones goal of life. As a human being we do
not have much choice.
Jainism
interprets working of the Cosmos in a different manner. Mahavira... the 24th Tirthankara
of Jainism stated that at the time of dissolution of the Cosmos... in whatever
stage of manifestation a soul atman is... the same continues in the next Cosmos...
in the next journey of life! It simply cannot be.
The
concept put forward by Mahavira... the 24th preceptor of Jainism is flawed! Unless
all souls' atmans reached the end of life... the whole Cosmos cannot reduce to
the size of half a thumb. If that does not happen... the dissolution of the Cosmos
will simply not occur!
For
the complete dissolution of the Cosmos... every soul atman needs reaching Baikuntha...
the abode of God! Only then God Almighty regains its original pure pristine form...
the size of half a thumb! This aspect of life has been made explicitly clear in
the Sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism... the doctrine given to mankind by Lord
Krishna in Mahabharata.
Lord
Krishna came about thousand years earlier to Mahavira. The doctrine of Bhagavad
Gita is absolutely flawless. Bhagavad Gita contains everything worth knowing on
the spiritual path! The knower of Bhagavad Gita finally becomes the knower of
all. One practically gains omniscience!
At
no stage of life one can contradict even a single statement contained in the Sacred
Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism. Bhagavad Gita is the essence of life following which
one reaches the end of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation!

I'm quoting 2 lines from u'r previous mail...
1)Once a human being reaches
the stage of salvation (moksha)... for all practical purposes it remains in Baikuntha
(aka kingdom of God) until eternity! 2)Only
when the complete dissolution of the Cosmos occurs... the stage of Pralaya in
Hinduism... when the entire Cosmos reduces to the size of half a thumb does every
soul atman again start its cosmic travel!
I'm
still confused, plz just tell me when sm1 attains moksha he stays there for eternity
or just till the dissolution of cosmos.this is my only querry.i would be extremely
obliged if you could just tell me this. Is this restarting of cosmic journey after
pralaya for those souls who haven't achieved moksha as yet or for all the souls.
