Query:
Good and Bad Karma... how can you change Destiny?
Vijay
Kumar:
Yes, it is
only the Karma that plays the vital role in the destiny of every living being.
As we perform our Karma so shall be our future ahead. If we have been born in
the house of a cobbler in the present manifestation then we could not have changed
it by any means. Whatever was our residual Karma of past lives... we were born
accordingly. Had our balance of Karma of past lives been so that we should have
been born in the house of a king then nothing could have changed our destiny and
we would have been born in the house of a king?
All
is the result of a Karma that cannot err. As we sow so shall we reap... nothing
less or more! Karma is the only process in the cosmic system by which our atman
the soul within can purify itself and liberate forever from the cycle of various
manifestations. Here we need to understand that it is our atman the soul within
that has taken the body and never otherwise. And unless and until one reaches
the last manifestation in the cosmic life (the 8.4 millionth manifestation) our
atman the soul within cannot get liberated from the cycle of birth
and death.
Here
we need to understand that it is not only the Karma performed by us in this life
that is governing but also prarabdha Karma plays an equally vital role. And what
is this prarabdha Karma? In the cosmic system whatever Karma we may be performing
today may not necessarily bear fruits in this life. The results of the Karma performed
in this life may become available to us in this life itself or the next life or
four manifestations hereafter.
Prarabdha Karma can be defined as the Karma the fruits of which are yet to be
received by us in the present manifestation or the future manifestations. Prarabdha
Karma is the residue of Karma performed by us in the previous lives and the fruits
of which have not been made available to us until now. How and when would they
fructify no one knows. The prarabdha Karma can fructify in any of the manifestations
in the future. There is no parameter to judge when the fruits of the prarabdha
Karma would be made available to us.
In
the event it is best for us that if we have negative prarabdha Karma in our balance
then we must keep performing good Karma in this life to neutralize the effects
of the residual negative prarabdha Karma of the previous lives. Unless and until
we do this... bad fortune always awaits us at every step. If we have positive
prarabdha Karma in our balance then there is no need to worry for we shall always
be lucky henceforth.
The
definition of luck is simple. It is only when the positive prarabdha Karma precipitates
in this manifestation and we are blessed by God with wealth all over... we definitely
can say we are lucky. On the contrary if we have negative prarabdha Karma in our
balance then none including God Almighty can get us out of the clutches of the
bad fortune awaiting us any moment of time.
In the present manifestation we may or may not have committed any Karma the implications
of which would result in a lottery being won by us... all is the result of the
precipitation of the positive prarabdha Karma of the earlier lives. Similarly,
if we meet with bad fortune in this life as a result of no act committed by us
in this life then it can only be the precipitation of the negative prarabdha Karma
which resulted in our experiencing bad fortune owing to the bad Karma performed
in the earlier lives.
Performance
of good Karma leads to accumulation of positive prarabdha Karma in our balance.
On the contrary accumulation of negative prarabdha Karma results due to performance
of bad Karma in present life. If we desire riches all the way then initially we
need to neutralize the negative prarabdha Karma in our balance and subsequently
we need to perform good Karma so that the negative prarabdha Karma does not ever
affect us in future life.
It
is also possible that whatever Karma we may have performed four manifestations
before may bear fruit now in this life. The prime reason that all of a sudden
amongst millions one wins the lottery. There was no special deed performed by
this person in this life yet he won the lottery. For the mankind he was a lucky
person but in the cosmic system of things... he had only reaped the fruits of
his good Karma (positive Karma) performed in one of the earlier manifestations.
The reverse
is also true. One may be a very pious person in this life and may have not knowingly
caused harm to anybody in this life yet; all of a sudden this person suffers.
All is the result of residual negative Karma of past lives. Sins committed in
the past lives have precipitated now. In that particular life we may not have
suffered for our sins but we are bound to suffer now for this part of the destiny
is not in control of anybody.
Unless
and until one gets out of the clout of prarabdha Karma in this life... the happenings
of the previous lives would continue to haunt us in this life. How to get out
of the clutches of prarabdha Karma is not known to anybody. Only a god realized
soul knows the absolute truth. This special mantra cannot be disclosed to the
community at this stage. At the opportune moment... when the community becomes
receptive to such ideas shall this mantra be released in form of an e-book (and
which would be a priced document)?
Most
human beings can take control of the five senses, the mind and also reach the
stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi but to get out of the clutches of prarabdha Karma
is an absolutely difficult task. Unless and until one is able to get hold of this
mantra it is just not possible to get released from the shackles of prarabdha
Karma.
Most
human beings do not understand this process of prarabdha Karma. One wonders that
what use performing Karma in this life if we cannot avail of the fruits in the
present life. Now this part of life is not within the control of a human being.
God Almighty, destined it like that. We have just to abide by it. The path of
8.4 million manifestations is a long one... God Almighty desired it so.
It is only because of the
longevity of the cosmic life of atman the soul within that God Almighty has kept
many of the mantras hidden in the cupboard. Every human being has to perform the
requisite Karma and reach a particular level of spiritual life before such mantras
get disclosed to us one by one. The total process is automated. As we perform
our Karma in this life... so is the availability of the mantras also.
Most
people in this World relate Karma to the physical work. It is not so. Karma apart
from the physical work performed by one also entails the fruits of our thinking
process. As we think so shall be the resulting Karma. The physical part is hardly
10% of the total Karma performed by us. Rest is Karma performed by ones thinking.
Our thinking plays a very vital role in governing our Karma. More pure are our
thoughts ... in other words more performance of good Karma would bear positive
results in this or the next lives.
If we desire that we do not fall into the clutches of negative prarabdha Karma...
then we need to perform good Karma all the time. Slowly as time passes by... the
performance of the good Karma shall result in neutralizing the bad effects of
the negative prarabdha Karma. One day may come when all negative prarabdha Karma
is totally destroyed. From now onwards we can only expect winning the lotteries
for whatever is in store for us in the coming future shall always remain positive.
Every human being
must make all possible efforts to get out of the clutches of bad Karma in present
life. If we do otherwise then it is possible that we keep on adding the effects
of the bad Karma to the already existing negative prarabdha Karma. This may result
in our experiencing bad days very often and that may or may not be entirely related
to the bad Karma performed in this life.
Sometimes
it so happens that despite our performing good deeds in this life we are not getting
the desired results... it is simply because the accumulated negative prarabdha
Karma is neutralizing the good effects of the good Karma performed in this life.
In all circumstances we must never loose heart for we do not have many choices.
We need to keep performing good Karma so that the negative prarabdha Karma can
be neutralized at one stage.
Defining destiny... what do we mean when we talk of destiny? In the dictionary
the definition of destiny has been given thus "A predetermined course of events
considered as something beyond Human power or control". But can a human being
control his destiny. Yes, it can be provided we seriously desire to take our destiny
in our control. And for doing this we need to take absolute control of the prarabdha
Karma which can fructify in any life.
For
taking control of destiny we need to neutralize the bad effects of the residual
negative prarabdha Karma in our store. By performing pious and good Karma in present
life we can try to neutralize the bad effects of the negative prarabdha Karma.
It is not at all necessary that we may neutralize the total effects of the accumulated
negative prarabdha Karma but there is no other alternative. If we have sufficient
negative prarabdha Karma that cannot be neutralize in a lifetime of about 70 to
80 years then none in whole Cosmos can do anything about it.
All
is the result of the bad Karma we have performed in our earlier lives. We have
to face the results of the same sometimes in the present manifestation or the
future manifestations. There is no way to avoid the negative prarabdha Karma in
store for us. People who took control of their destiny in the present life...
the likes of Andrew Carnegie, Napoleon Hill, JRD Tata and Henry Ford to name a
few, were such energized people that to even think of their performing a bad Karma
is out of question.
These highly motivated people always and ever indulged in performance of positive
Karma all the time. These people used to confidently say that in a short life
span of 70 to 80 years where is the time to indulge in bad Karma by any Human
being. We need to only follow these people if we seriously desire taking destiny
in our own control.
We
must always remember that these successful people by their positive efforts in
this life were able to scuttle the negative effects of the negative prarabdha
Karma of past lives. Only then it was possible for them to indulge in positive
Karma all the time. In history we have instances that an ordinary mortal was able
to marry the kings daughter... and how did this gentleman take his destiny under
control?
The positive
affirmations... the will to do and succeed in the face of all adversities... never
looking back in life at our follies committed from time to time and never repeating
the same... facing the adversities head-on instead of looking for excuses all
the time are some of the factors these elite controllers of destiny practiced
all the time. In whatever stage of life one may be... it is but possible to reach
the end of the cosmic life in the present life.
In the normal routine we take the staircase up the path to God... a staircase
consisting of 8.4 million steps. If we have the blessings of God and the will
to reach the top we can and have direct access to the lift straight up. We can
cut short the journey of the staircase and take the elevator. For this we need
to practice absolute celibacy continuously for a minimum period of 12 years in
a go. If we do this even while performing positive Karma all the time... we shall
definitely reach the end goal of life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation.
Beyond this... there is
only salvation (moksha in Hinduism) to be achieved. And thereafter the atman soul
goes to the abode of God (Baikuntha in Hinduism). In Christianity aka the kingdom
of God. our atman the soul within having reached the climax of life comes back
to its pristine original pure form. No further manifestations... our atman the
soul within gets liberated forever from cycle of birth and death.
Every
living being in the cosmos is primarily a cluster of atoms and molecules. Rest
is all energy. We have within us most of the metals and the chemicals that also
exist in the planets surrounding the solar system. These planets definitely affect
our thinking process for considering the Mars planet that is presumed to be rich
in iron would definitely attract or dispel the iron within our body. This movement
of metals and chemicals within our body definitely affects our thinking and us.
This is based on the theory of magnetism. None can deny this.
Wearing of gems or other modes of artifacts can never affect our destiny but only
mould our pattern of thinking. We are what we think. It is the thinking pattern
that decides the destiny of every Human being. One is a king and one is a laborer
only because of the difference in their thinking prowess.
Performance
of Pujas definitely helps shape our present Karma but it can never affect our
destiny. However much we may pray but if our Karma is contrary to our praying
then by our performance of bad Karma all the time will make the prayers ineffective.
Prayers and Karma complement each other. Our praying and performance of Karma
must never clash with one other rather each must complement the other.
We must always remember
that Pujas and wearing of gems may provide temporary relief only sometimes but
if we need to permanently take control of our destiny then we need to neutralize
the negative effects of bad Karma performed in the earlier lives. In other words
we have to neutralize the affect of the negative prarabdha Karma without which
bad luck always awaits us in the present manifestation.
May
God bless you!
