Query:
Mantra for Prarabdha Karma? Is it different from other karma?
Vijay Kumar:
The
mantra for Prarabdha karma to cut across the shackles of all previous manifestations
is not easily understood. It simply cannot be given at this stage. When you mature
yourself for receiving it... it shall be given without asking!
Before
we discuss further on Prarabdha karma... we need to understand the true meaning
and purport of the word karma... karma sutra as it exists in Hinduism! Ever since
God Almighty exploded himself with a big bang causing the formation of a new cosmos...
all souls atmans scattered all over and started the journey of souls atmans...
manifesting one form after another!
The
journey from one manifestation to another... from one body to another is made
possible by the complex process of karma... the doctrine of karma! To remove the
impurities... the dross within every soul atman manifests a total of 8.4 million
manifestations... an earthly life cycle of 96.4 million years!
As
the metal within an ore cannot purify itself on its own and requires the requisite
mining processes for its extraction... the soul atman also requires a body to
work out its karma... remove
The impurities dross contained within! It is only
through the complex process of karma our soul atman reaches the last leg of cosmic
life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation! Devoid of karma... the soul atman would
remain sandwiched in its impure state for eternity!
Karma
does not denote the physical aspect alone. In Jainism the importance of Bhava
karma is considered vital. Why? If we commit a physical injury... we definitely
are awarded negative points on the karmic scale. What if the injury has been committed
in thoughts! We definitely are awarded negative points on the karmic scale...
but considerably less!
If
the physical injury costs us minus hundred points... it is quite possible that
a thought injury... injury committed only in thoughts (Bhava karma) results in
our earning minus one point! It is not the physical aspect of karma alone... we
need to absolve self in every respect of karma before one gains enlightenment
(kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha).
Siddhartha
Gautama... Gautama Buddha in the initial stages of his spiritual pursuit left
the confines of the family by touching the feet of his wife and child. Such an
act does not absolve one of the karma forever. We need to burn out karma at its
roots. Devoid of karma... every soul atman gains absolute purity... Gaining its
original pure pristine form in the process!
We
may or we may not desire but the process of karma continues uninterruptedly! That
is how God Almighty inbuilt the doctrine of karma into every living being. Mantra
for Prarabdha karma by which one can cut across the shackles of Prarabdha karma
demands merit. When comes the opportune time... it shall be openly given to the
community!
One
must always indulge in karma in a manner so that we earn only Punya karma (gain
positive karma)! That is how one rises higher up on the spiritual ladder! Remaining
engrossed in trivialities of life... the wanton desires and greed for materialistic
riches... most human beings succumb to their ego... the pressures within! They
bitterly fail on the scales of spirituality.
The
mantras are not written anywhere... we just need to earn them by performing right
karma! At any stage of life all of a sudden... we may find a mantra perched in
our thoughts! Noble are the ways of God Almighty! Had God Almighty written down
everything... the cunning human being that one is could have manipulated the whole
cosmic system!
As
runs the balance sheet of a chartered accountant... so does the balance sheet
of life! Whatever is the closing balance of present life... after the death of
the body the same becomes the opening balance of the next life. If the residual
balance of karma of the present life demands our taking birth in the house of
a farmer... we simply cannot manifest the form of a Prince! It simply cannot be!
Life
in the cosmic domain is not run by ifs and but... nor desires or wishes! We simply
reap what we sow... Nothing less or more... so says the law of karma! Prarabdha
karma is the hidden factor of the cosmic system which can precipitate rather fructify
in any manifestation... now or many manifestations henceforth! Why worry of the
residual balance of karma from previous manifestations.
We
must simply concentrate in accumulating Punya karma (positive karma) all the time!
The right hand of a human being indicates the karma of the present life... the
left hand the residual balance of karma of all the previous manifestations...
including 7.3 million manifestations spent in the insect, plant and animal form!
For palmists to decipher the right hand is simple... but none is able to read
the left hand!
May
God bless all!
