Bhagavad Gita meaning can only be understood by reading in between the lines. The meaning of Bhagavad Gita can never be understood literally! The sacred texts of Bhagavad Gita are unique in entire history of mankind. One single scripture... one sacred text sufficed all human beings reaching stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana)!

Knowing Bhagavad Gita any human being world over can gain enlightenment (reach stage of kaivalya)! The doctrine of Bhagavad Gita was given to mankind by Lord Krishna in battle of Mahabharata between Pandava and Kaurava Kings! Despite the fact that Bhagavad Gita is rich in jnana wisdom... people feared travelling path of Bhagavad Gita! Why?

Most Hindus... most Indians... considered Bhagavad Gita sacrosanct! As detailed in Hindu mythology... follower of Bhagavad Gita finally becomes recluse... breaking all relationships with those who formed part of family... all relatives and friends included! This is an absolute misnomer. In present scientific age... one need not go to Himalayas for contemplation on God Almighty!

Yes, path of spirituality... path of Bhagavad Gita is always travelled all alone! On path of pure spirituality we do not get a spiritual preceptor to guide one in the journey of life! For a serious traveler of spirituality... we are prime consciousness... a soul atman on its cosmic journey of 8.4 million manifestations... an earthly life cycle of 96.4 million years!

Those travelling path of Bhagavad Gita understood this absolute true fact of life. When our body itself is clothing for our soul atman... what value of human relationships! For an enlightened one... for one on path of pure spirituality... human bondages... bondages of earthly life... bondage of karma carried no meaning!

It is only after cutting across shackles of karma... human beings finally reached stage of enlightenment (termed kaivalya in Hinduism Jainism)!

Bhagavad Gita definition is straight and clear... live nishkama karma way never attaching self to fruits of karma performed! All our sufferings resulted from bondages of karma. Relationships carried meaning in mortal world... never path of spirituality... path of Bhagavad Gita!

When King Arjuna refused to fight his brethren... his close relatives and friends in the battle of Mahabharata... Lord Krishna admonished him saying, "Arjuna, you were a king representing masses at large... you have a duty to perform towards them! Unless you act truthfully... you would never render justice to all citizens of your country!

Lord Krishna continued saying, "Before manifesting this form as Arjuna... your soul atman manifested another form". In that life you had different relationships that lost moment body died. In present you have different relationships that shall end moment you leave your mortal frame! Do not attach self to earthly bondages... bondages of manifest world!

You are a soul atman... pure consciousness on its cosmic journey of 8.4 million manifestations... an earthly life cycle of 96.4 million years! You have a duty to perform. You have to fight your enemy... be they close relatives or friends. Amongst the enemy, King Arjuna had his spiritual mentor and guide, guru Dronacharya... His loving paternal grandfather siding enemy camp!

After much persuasion by Lord Krishna... meaning, definition of doctrine of Bhagavad Gita finally dawned on King Arjuna and he agreed to fight his enemy for sake of dharma (righteousness) that was part of his duty as king! The teachings of Bhagavad Gita... the doctrine of Bhagavad Gita implied truth and only truth!

As teachings of Bhagavad Gita are entirely based on truth... they never diluted with passage of time! The moment King Arjuna understood in entirety basic teachings of Bhagavad Gita... he not only fought the enemy but succeeded in re-establishing dharma (righteousness) against evil forces of adharma (lawlessness)!

The entire doctrine of Bhagavad Gita is a fight between truth and evil... prime reason why teachings of Bhagavad Gita can be followed by a human being world over... belonging to any religion, faith or belief! Teachings of Bhagavad Gita are not propriety of Hinduism alone... it has universal language that appealed to all worldwide!

Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism is simply not a doctrine... it encompassed everything contained in cosmos! Right from stage of big bang (when God Almighty explodes self)... to stage of complete dissolution of cosmos (termed Pralaya in Hinduism)... all is explained in Bhagavad Gita in explicit detail! Bhagavad Gita forms summum bonum of spirituality having no parallel in mankind!

Following Bhagavad Gita human beings finally realized hollowness of human life! Our soul atman... we as a soul atman had manifested human form to work out our karma... remove dross impurities within! As per Bhagavad Gita no soul atman of its own could purify self. It needed a medium... an external body to cleanse self of dross impurities within!

As per Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism the human journey is but a temporary sojourn in the entire life cycle of a soul atman! In Hinduism... a soul is termed atman!

The abstract values of life... the hidden principles of life are all detailed in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! The knower of Bhagavad Gita... finally becomes knower of all... gains omniscience for all practical purposes... becomes an enlightened one... a Mahavira... a bodhi... a Jina!

The path of pure spirituality that led directly to God Almighty is best travelled following teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! For reaching God in present life... for gaining enlightenment (kaivalya jnana)... assimilating teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita was the only way out! In present Kali Yuga... Dark Age... metal age none reached God via path of religion... path of rituals!

Wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita was necessitated for travellers of spiritual path... those who desired reaching God in present life! For travellers of religious path... wisdom contained in Ramayana (Hinduism epic) sufficed!

For living the present earthly sojourn of 70 to 80 years in a meaningful manner... wisdom contained in Ramayana sufficed! For knowing our true inner self... our soul atman... the spirit within... travel of spiritual path was necessitated! For indulging in spirituality... path of unknown... teachings of Bhagavad Gita were necessitated!

Both Bhagavad Gita and Ramayana had different approaches to life! One dealt with inner essence of life... other with normal human fold!

If we truly desire understanding Bhagavad Gita meaning... Bhagavad Gita definition... our understanding definition of spirituality... meaning of spiritual path... definition of dharma... meaning of karma... essence of yoga meditation was necessitated!

Without understanding what soul atman is all about... definition of God Almighty... none could understand contents of Bhagavad Gita ever!

Truly wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita is the foremost of all sacred teachings available on mother earth! If Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism sufficed our travelling spiritual path and finally reaching God Almighty... we had nothing more that we could desire out of life! Truly teachings of Bhagavad Gita are infallible... have no parallel in mankind!
