Summary of Bhagavad Gita... the essence of gita... can we really sum up gist of entire Bhagavad Gita in few lines... Pages or even a book! The essence of Bhagavad Gita could never be summarized by a human being... not even an enlightened one! Right from beginning of cosmos when God Almighty exploded self with a big bang... to stage of dissolution of cosmos (termed Pralaya in Hinduism)... all is explained in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism in explicit detail!

The essence of Bhagavad Gita can only be fathomed by contemplating on wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita! The summary of Bhagavad Gita could never be deduced literally... the sacred wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita demanded reading in between the lines! A cursory glance or wishful reading carried no meaning in spiritual world!

In domain of God Almighty there is no place for ifs and buts! As stated in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism... everything contained in cosmos was absolute... meaningful! If we truly desired assimilating pearls of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita... our travelling spiritual path was necessitated! One never reached God via path of religion... path of rituals!

Both Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana started in pursuit of God Almighty via path of bhakti yoga... path of religion... path of rituals! Finally both switched to path of jnana yoga (path of absolute wisdom) in later stages of life. Travelling path of jnana yoga is realizing absolutes of life... reaching inner essence... our soul atman... the spirit within!

One of the most fundamental aspects of Bhagavad Gita is summarized as... we are primarily a soul atman on its cosmic journey of 8.4 million manifestations... an earthly life cycle of 96.4 million years! To cleanse self of dross impurities within... to work our karma... started cosmic life cycle of every soul atman! A soul is termed atman in Hinduism.

Ever since God Almighty exploded self with a big bang... all pure souls' atmans got mired in impurities! To gain absolute purity... to regain its lost original pure prime pristine primordial form started cosmic life cycle of every soul atman! Every soul atman initially manifested form of an amoeba (single cell formation)... the first manifestation in cosmic life cycle!

It further evolved into multi-cell formation... then insect life, plant life, animal life and finally forms of human beings! Human form... being the highest manifest stage in cosmic life cycle... it is only in human form our soul atman finally liberated self from cycle of birth and death forever! Human beings gaining enlightenment announced our soul atman gaining absolute purity forever!

As summarized in Bhagavad Gita... doctrine of karma and theory of evolution played a pivotal role in life cycle of every soul atman! In absence of karma... in absence of process of evolution... entire cosmos carried no meaning! Ever since souls atmans started their cosmic journey... doctrine of karma and process of evolution become governing!

From one manifestation to another... from one body to next... the journey of a soul atman continued uninterrupted... unbroken! The entire lifespan of 8.4 million manifestations... an earthly life cycle of 96.4 million years is one single span of life for a soul atman. As a soul atman is indestructible (could neither be created nor destroyed)... how could it rebirth... reincarnate!

As per Bhagavad Gita, reincarnation theory is a totally flawed concept... something beyond comprehension of most human beings! Every soul atman never took rebirth... nor reincarnated... it only manifested bodies one after another after occurrence of death of mortal body! The manifestation of next body is directly related to residual balance of karma of present life!

At the time of death of mortal body if residual balance of karma demanded a soul atman manifesting next form as a laborer... one could not be born a Prince! In domain of God Almighty there never are free lunches... nor could we expect mangoes to grow on a guava tree! Everything results from inscrutable laws of karma... as we sow so shall we reap... nothing less or more!

As summarized in Bhagavad Gita... karma acts as accountant general of cosmic system keeping record of minutest action indulged by human beings! Every single thought positive or negative precipitated into an act of karma. For gaining enlightenment... for reaching God Almighty... one has to cut across shackles of karma forever! Truly had no other alternative!

As detailed in Bhagavad Gita, God Almighty is the only absolute fact of life! As summarized in Bhagavad Gita... nothing other than God Almighty existed in cosmic system! As per doctrine of Maya (veil of illusion) deduced and propagated by Adi Shankaracharya... every human being is but a cluster of atoms and molecules... the basic building block of cosmic system!

Everything appeared solid when seen from senses point of view. As a matter of fact... everything is gaseous formation! As per doctrine of Maya if we visualized boundary of present cosmos... there does not appear to be any! If we presume there is one... then what beyond? As preached by Adi Shankaracharya... as per doctrine of Maya whole cosmos existed only in thoughts of God Almighty! As per Hinduism apart from all souls’ atmans nothing existed in cosmos.

The abstract teachings of Bhagavad Gita are not easily fathomed... prime reason why people preferred travelling religious path... path of rituals... never path of spirituality! In the present materialistic world dominated by a bloated ego (Aham in Hinduism)... most human beings preferred material riches than travelling path of pure spirituality that took one directly to God Almighty!

As per Bhagavad Gita... of the total of 8.4 million manifestations by our soul atman... the initial 7.3 million manifestations occurred in insect, plant and animal life! In the remaining 1.1 million manifestations in human form one is expected to reach stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha)!

Bhagavad Gita also summarizes one of the most important facts of cosmic life... the singularity that scientists world over referred to at the time of big bang was God Almighty himself... the cluster of all pure souls atmans in cosmos at a given moment of time! This cluster of primordial ethereal energy... the sum total of all pure souls’ atmans occupied the volume of half a thumb!

Does this mean at the time of big bang... size of God Almighty is the size of half a thumb yes, the cosmic truth is so! Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism is absolutely clear on this point! Details of big bang theory exists in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism since last above 3600 years... when Lord Krishna advent into the scene! Still, Some scientists world over disputed the big bang theory!

The precepts of Bhagavad Gita are beyond purview of science. Spirituality starts from the point where science ends. Science demands proofs that are not forthcoming in field of pure spirituality. In the domain of God almighty... it is absolute faith in God Almighty... that ruled the roost!

Unless we trusted God in totality... we could not travel spiritual path sincerely or diligently! In our sufferings we always remembered God... what when we experienced happiness! How many people remembered God in times of happiness? For a serious seeker of spirituality it was absolute faith in God Almighty that mattered most!

Unless we had faith in God Almighty... unless we were truthful to God Almighty to the core... one could never gain enlightenment... no matter what! Only those people who exhibited willpower demonstrated by Swami Vivekananda are fit enough to travel spiritual path... reach cosmic end of life... 8.4 millionth manifestation... last in cosmic life cycle!

Mere desires and wishes carried no meaning in spiritual world. In my 54 years of spiritual travail I have yet to find a person who could detail to me meaning of Bhagavad Gita... the essence of life... the definition and meaning of God almighty... meaning of karma... definition of dharma... the underlying relationship between meditation yoga!

Before one travels spiritual path... we had to be truthful to core! We must learn to establish control over five senses and mind. Unless absolute control over five senses and mind was established, karma could not be negated to zero! Complete annihilation of karma demanded highest level of patience, persistence and perseverance that could ever be practiced by human beings!

Spirituality could never be compared to religion... path of rituals! There is never a shortcut on path of pure spirituality! Something that needs an earthly journey of 12.4 million years (a maximum of 1.1 million manifestations)... completing it in one lifespan of 70 to 80 years is asking for impossible! Yet, for a serious seeker of spirituality... everything was possible in one lifetime!

Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism is not only good reading material... it forms core of life! By patiently establishing control over five senses human beings ultimately established absolute control over mind. One immediately reached stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi (stage of absolute nothingness) when not a single thought entered our brain uninvoked!

Bhagavad Gita Hinduism is not about praising or worshipping God! God truly did not reside in various temples, churches or mosques! God Almighty already existed in every human being in miniscule form as our soul atman... the spirit within! Reaching our soul atman... the spirit within is reaching God Almighty in all its glory!

Path of spirituality simply meant... we had to reach our true inner self... our soul atman... the spirit within! As per Hinduism scriptures... as per sacred Bhagavad Gita... we are a spirit... a cosmic consciousness that pervades entire cosmos! However, in absence of a body every soul atman remained inert... inactive!

Reincarnation... rebirth only meant our soul atman manifesting body after another until it reached last leg of cosmic life... 8.4 millionth manifestation... when human beings gained enlightenment and finally salvation! Travel in human form was the most pleasant experience for a soul atman. It is only in human form a soul atman finally gained release from cycle of birth and death forever.

In no other form of life a soul atman reached 8.4 millionth manifestation... last in cosmic life cycle!

Human form being the highest manifest stage in cosmic life cycle... it becomes our sacrosanct duty to assist our soul atman in completing its cosmic life cycle at the earliest! It is only by travelling spiritual path we reached our true inner self... our soul atman... the spirit within! Why not travel spiritual path now and complete the cosmic journey!
