Understanding Bhagavad Gita: Essence of bhagavad gita can only be realized by travelling spiritual path... uncharted path of spirituality that took one directly to abode of God Almighty! Indulgence in Bhagavad Gita was necessitated for travellers of spiritual path... never for those following religion... path of rituals!

It is Bhagavad Gita that tells us for the first time that journey of life always belonged to our soul atman... the spirit within and never the manifest human form! As detailed in Bhagavad Gita... our soul atman... the spirit within is absolute master and controller of human body and not vice versa! It is not within the capability of human body to manifest a soul atman.

In Hinduism a soul is termed atman!

Path of pure spirituality... wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita was necessitated for knowing real self of us... our inner self... the spirit within! As per Bhagavad Gita we are primarily a cosmic consciousness on its cosmic journey of 8.4 million manifestations... an earthly life cycle of 96.4 million years! We are not a human body encasing a soul atman.

Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism makes absolutely clear the relationship between God Almighty, souls' atmans and all other lower forms of life. As per Bhagavad Gita the initial 7.3 million manifestations by our soul atman occurred in insect, plant and animal form! In the remaining 1.1 million manifestations in human form... one is expected to reach stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana)!

God Almighty... the cluster of all pure souls’ atmans at a given moment of time... exploded with a big bang to create present cosmos! This resulted in all pure souls’ atmans hurtling down their cosmic journey at unimaginable speeds! In the melee... pure souls' atmans gathered impurities... similar as a rolling ball gathers moss!

To cleanse self of dross impurities within... to work out its karma starts cosmic life cycle of every soul atman. In the life of a soul atman... the human form is but a temporary sojourn... a means to an end! Human form is the highest manifest stage in cosmic life cycle! It is only in human form a soul atman finally regained its lost original pure prime pristine primordial form!

Travel in human form was the most pleasant experience for a soul atman. Human beings travelling spiritual path is truly noble! Reaching stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) was the ultimate goal of life for human beings. Enlightenment is also termed self realization... god realization! Realizing our true inner self... reaching God... all meant the same!

The gist of Bhagavad Gita is not difficult to understand. We only need follow path of absolute truthfulness always and ever! Unless we followed path of absolute truth... none could follow path of pure spirituality that led directly to God Almighty! Remaining truthful in life is a very important ingredient of spiritual path... most human beings never realized in life!

God Almighty can never be reached via path of religion... path of rituals! No human being world over... a believer of rituals... one, who visited temples, churches or mosques ever gained anything in life! Such travellers of religious path always remained immersed in ephemeral pursuits of life... never realizing that essentials of life always lay in travelling spiritual path... never path of religion!

In present times... the present scientific age... most human beings dominated by a bloated ego pursued material goals of life! Can such human beings ever be expected to travel spiritual path... reach God Almighty in their lifetime! Those who were fascinated by glitter of gold and diamonds... such ignorants of spiritual path never realized God in their lifetime!

Understanding Bhagavad Gita was not simple. Contents of Bhagavad Gita simply could not be understood literally... it demands reading in between the lines! As many readings of Bhagavad Gita... as many different meanings one infers! Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism is truly a universal document applicable to every human being world over.

The teachings of Bhagavad Gita do not relate to any particular religion, faith or belief! Any human being world over belonging to any religion, faith or belief can ceremoniously follow teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita! For knowing Bhagavad Gita... for realizing abstract truths of life one need not convert to Hinduism ever.

Essence of Bhagavad Gita quotes can always be realized by one travelling spiritual path! By remaining truthful all the time human beings hear sweet small inner voice of our soul atman that always seems to come from within the heart! Dictated by promptings of my soul atman... I finally realized God in 1993 at 37 years of age!

When six years of age I learnt the most important chapter of my life... remain truthful all the time against all odds! Even if death bared me head-on in the eyes, I would have never left path of absolute truthfulness... no matter what! Remaining truthful has its benefits... we come closer to our soul atman... the spirit within!

How difficult understanding Bhagavad Gita is can be gauged from the fact that in the last about 150 years amongst 7 billion people existing world over... only two persons finally succeeded in reaching God in their lifetime... spiritual stalwarts Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana!

Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana started their spiritual journey via path of bhakti yoga... path of religion... path of rituals! But finally both switched to path of jnana yoga (path of absolute wisdom)... as detailed in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! Path of jnana yoga can only be travelled by following dictates contained in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism!

Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism contains truth but only truth. Bhagavad Gita Hinduism is the foremost of all sacred scriptures existing on mother earth! Knowing Bhagavad Gita... the meaning of 700 shlokas verses contained in Bhagavad Gita... Any human being world over could gain enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha)!

Understanding Bhagavad Gita is reaching cosmic end of life... 8.4 millionth manifestation... when human beings reached stage of self realization... God realization... termed enlightenment in English! Everyone in this world knew clearly well that God Almighty could not be reached following path of deceit... materialism still, most human beings followed material path unmindful of pitfalls ahead!

Understanding Bhagavad Gita human beings finally realized that absolute control over five senses and mind was necessitated for reaching God! The path to establishing absolute control over five senses and mind was clearly detailed in Bhagavad Gita Hinduism! Furthermore practice of absolute celibacy for 12 years in continuation was necessitated.

Practice of absolute celibacy for a period of 12 years in continuation finally led one to full awakening of Kundalini Shakti... the coiled Serpentine energy lying dormant in base of spine! The moment our kundalini energy awakened fully... one reached stage of kaivalya jnana... omniscience! One finally became an enlightened one... a bodhi... a Mahavira... a Jina!

Understanding Bhagavad Gita also made us realize that God Almighty is the only truth of life. Apart from God Almighty nothing exists in whole cosmos! God Almighty... the cluster of all pure souls’ atmans in cosmos was the only reality of life! When seen from senses point of view... things appeared solid otherwise all is gaseous formation as per Bhagavad Gita Hinduism!

The doctrine of Maya (veil of illusion) propagated by Adi Shankaracharya makes this point absolutely clear! As per doctrine of Maya... whole cosmos exists only in thoughts of God Almighty! The more we indulged in spiritual precepts... more complicated... complex everything appeared to be!

Slowly... patiently analyzing every single aspect of life logically human beings finally unveiled those pearls of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita... knowing which one finally gained enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) forever!

Logistics played a very important role on path of pure spirituality! Unless we contemplated on God Almighty... unless we learnt the delicate art of contemplation... the process of self enquiry... one never reached near to God Almighty! God Almighty can only be known via path of Neti (not this, not this) as preached and advocated by Maharishi Ramana... one who realized God in his lifetime!

Following path of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa... Maharishi Ramana... Swami Vivekananda is a sure shot method of reaching God in present life! Why not follow those who already gained enlightenment in their lifetime!
