Atman in Hinduism or soul in English means the same! A soul is termed atman in Hinduism! The concept of atman soul in human life is of paramount importance. Why? As per Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism our atman soul is the absolute master and controller of human body and not vice versa. It is not within the power of human body to manifest an atman soul!

Atman in Hinduism forms core of life. It is the presence of an atman soul within the body that makes journey of life possible on mother earth! Most human beings world over thought an atman soul existed within a human body. This is an absolute misnomer. The human body does not contain an atman soul... rather it is vice versa!

It is our atman soul that manifested human form to work out its karma... remove dross impurities within! Ever since an atman soul started its cosmic journey... it got imbibed with impurities! To cleanse self of dross impurities within every atman soul manifests a chain of bodies to work out its karma... remove dross impurities within!

The journey of life always belonged to our atman soul and never manifest human form! Journey in human form is the most pleasant experience for an atman soul! It is only in human form our atman soul finally reached cosmic end of life when human beings gained enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha)!

Travelling spiritual path by human beings is a necessity of our atman soul! Ever since an atman soul starts its cosmic journey... the effort of every atman soul remains reaching cosmic end of life... 8.4 millionth manifestation at the earliest! Stated in simpler words enlightenment announces an atman soul reaching end of cosmic life!

The definition of atman soul in Hinduism is best detailed in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! As per Bhagavad Gita every atman soul is indestructible... it could neither be created nor destroyed! When atman soul is indestructible... it could neither rebirth or reincarnate! The entire journey of 8.4 million manifestations... an earthly life cycle of 96.4 million years is one single span of life for an atman soul! The entire doctrine of reincarnation of atman soul is flawed!

The concept of atman in Hinduism is without a flaw! Unless people in West indulged in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism... none could understand the true meaning and purport of atman soul! The concept of atman is unique to sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism ... the foremost of all sacred scriptural texts available on mother earth!

The concept of jivatma paramatma is best clarified in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! As stated in Bhagavad Gita... the moment an atman soul manifested a body... it was termed jivatma in Hinduism. The term Jivatma primarily means a Jiva (living form) possessing an atman soul within! In Hinduism an atman is termed atma!

An atman soul is also termed as our real self... our true inner self that could only be reached by travelling spiritual path! For realizing our true inner self... one needs gaining enlightenment and finally salvation (moksha)! Our atman soul regains its lost original pure prime pristine primordial form the moment human beings reached stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana)!

Travel in human form is the most pleasant experience for an atman soul! It is only in human form... the highest manifest stage in cosmic life cycle our atman soul finally gained liberation from cycle of birth and death forever! As a human being undertaking spiritual journey is a priority... a requirement of our atman soul... never the manifest human form!

In Hinduism... the physical aspect of life... manifest physical form is considered insignificant compared to our atman soul within! Prime reason why many Indians leave confines of their home in search of God Almighty! Such people failed to realize that God Almighty could never be found via path of religion... path of rituals! Furthermore, we are required to burn our karma in totality!

If we desire our atman soul gaining absolute purity... our indulgence on path of spirituality is necessitated! Only by travelling uncharted path of spirituality human beings finally reached God... gained absolute purity as an atman soul! Travelling spiritual path is an inherent requirement of our atman soul... something one could not do without!

If someone would ask... what does atman mean in Hinduism... the simple answer would be indulge in teachings contained in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! Only by assimilating pearls of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita human beings finally unveiled cosmic truths of life realizing which one finally reached stage of enlightenment (termed self realization by many)!

Our atman soul is pure cosmic consciousness that is imbibed with impurities! It is only by indulgence in good karma... positive karma human beings finally reduced dross impurities within our atman soul! The moment our karma negated to zero... one finally reached stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi ... stage of absolute nothingness when not a single thought entered our brain uninvoked!

Our atman soul being the ultimate controller of human life... it is imperative on human beings to travel spiritual path at the earliest! We do not know what form our soul atman manifests in next life... why not travel spiritual path now and reach cosmic end of life... 8.4 millionth manifestation... when human beings reached stage of self realization... God realization!
