What will happen after death is the most asked question on Internet! Why mortal human beings feared death most? When we speak of death... what does it actually mean in spiritual or religious parlance! Does death announce end of life for present human form forever? As ordained by God Almighty... what is the actual meaning of death in scriptures!

As stated in sacred scriptures... holy books of Hinduism... particularly sacred Bhagavad Gita... human life is but a temporary sojourn in the entire lifespan of a soul atman! As per Bhagavad Gita journey of life belonged to our soul atman and not manifest human form. As an independent entity our soul atman is inert. Of its own no soul atman could cleanse self of dross impurities within!

It needs an external medium to work out its karma... a chain of bodies... manifestations to regain its lost original pure prime pristine primordial form! From first manifestation as an amoeba (single cell formation) to last as human beings... the entire journey of life for a soul atman is one uninterrupted... unbroken span of life! A soul is termed atman in Hinduism.

After death of mortal body... family weeps bereaved but in the cosmic domain nothing much has happened! As the mortal frame was manifested by our soul atman... after death of mortal body based on residual balance of karma of that moment it shall again manifest a new body and starts a new cycle of life!

The journey of life is perpetuating... unending until the last... the stage when human beings gained enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha)! It is only after reaching stage of moksha (salvation) journey of life for a soul atman finally came to an end. In absence of dross impurities within... the need for soul atman to manifest a body further now ceased to exist!

Death of mortal body does not announce end of journey for the soul atman that manifested human form! After death of mortal frame... based on residual balance of karma if matching parents are not available on mother earth... ... the soul atman hibernates either in heaven or hell (termed swarga and naraka in Hinduism)!

Both heaven and hell (swarga and naraka) exist in sun... heaven (swarga) in core of sun where temperatures exceed millions of degrees centigrade! It is in such high temperatures our soul atman feels comfortable! Hell (naraka) existed in periphery of sun where temperatures are considerably less. It is in such low temperatures our soul atman suffered for eternity.

As our soul atman is indestructible... could neither be created or destroyed... the doctrine of Rebirth... Reincarnation Hinduism is flawed! As stated in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism when nothing dies... how could it rebirth... reincarnate! Death of mortal body announces our soul atman manifesting another body based on residual balance of karma of that moment!

Journey of life for a soul atman continued uninterrupted... unbroken until it reached 8.4 millionth manifestation... the last in cosmic life cycle... when human beings gained enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha). Does it mean that reaching stage of moksha announces ceasing of further journey for a soul atman... yes, the cosmic truth is so!

Life of soul atman can be explained from example of student life! When a student of class one promotes to class two... the body of student of class one... the structure of student of class one vanishes forever. What promotes to class two is a new frame... a new structure... a grown-up student! The earlier frame... the earlier structure seems to have vanished forever!

The student in question is our soul atman on its cosmic life cycle of 8.4 million manifestations... an earthly sojourn of 96.4 million years! When student of class one promotes to class two... the student... the frame... we observed in class one has become dead forever... what has promoted to class two is a new frame... a new journey of life altogether!

On promoting to class two from class one... sometimes our parents promise us a new blazer. We throw the old blazer and don the new blazer! The discarded blazer that was worn in class one is the dead body... the dead mortal frame left behind! What exists in class two is a new blazer... a new frame... a new journey of life undertaken by our soul atman (the student)!

Changing of life from one mortal frame to another by our soul atman is like changing of guards at Buckingham Palace! Governed by five senses on death of mortal body human beings feel bereaved! From cosmic point of view... from viewpoint of Bhagavad Gita... scriptural texts... death of mortal body never announced ceasing of life for a soul atman!

However one thing is absolutely clear. The workings of class one are not directly related to class two... prime reason why as a human being we are not supposed to remember workings of past life. As detailed in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism... based on residual balance of karma at the time of death of body... our soul atman manifested a new form and started a new journey of life!

The closing balance of one life becomes opening balance for next manifestation... the new phase of life. Karma is that inherent ingredient of cosmic system that facilitates movement of soul atman from one manifestation to another! It is through complex process of karma and evolution life moved ahead in cosmic life cycle. In absence of karma and evolution life in cosmic system would become stagnant... decay and die!

As our future... our manifest destiny is governed by our karma... it is in our interest to indulge in good karma... positive karma all the time! Prime reason why human beings feared death most... everything that human beings garnered on materialistic plane shall all be left behind! After death of mortal body nothing material transfers to next life!

What actually transfers is the residual balance of karma! A positive residual balance of karma means lesser sufferings ahead! A negative residual balance of karma announces hidden pitfalls... suffering at the hands of fate most of time! Whenever positive residual balance of karma from previous manifestations fructified all of a sudden... one suddenly won a lottery!

Manifestation after manifestation... body after body... what transfers to next life is balance of karma! By indulgence in good karma... those with a sunny disposition and godly thinking finally reaped benefits of indulgence in positive karma all the time! If we truly desire manifesting our destiny... our indulgence in positive karma... good karma all the time is the only remedy!
