The query where will the soul go after death is not new to Hinduism! As per sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism after death of mortal body our atman soul immediately manifested a new body provided matching parents were available on mother earth! In absence of availability of matching parents... our soul atman hibernated in heaven or hell (termed swarga and naraka in Hinduism)!

A soul is termed atman in Hinduism.

For a soul atman to manifest itself... it needs a body to work out its karma... remove dross impurities within! As the journey of life is directly controlled by inscrutable laws of karma... whatever the residual balance of karma at the time of death of body... the same becomes the opening balance for the next manifestation!

If the residual balance of karma at the time of death of body demanded our soul atman manifesting form of a laborer in next life... one could not be born a Prince! In the domain of God Almighty there never are free lunches... nor can we expect mangoes to grow on a guava tree! Everything results from karma performed in present or previous lives!

Those with a sunny disposition and godly thinking always invoked positive thoughts most of time! Those indulging in vice suffered at hands of fate. Everything resulted from invocation of negative thoughts... negative karma performed by one! If we really desire a bright future ahead our indulgence in positive karma... good karma all the time is an absolute must!

The concept of soul atman... the relationship of a soul atman with other living beings... role of a soul atman in cosmic system is explicitly detailed in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism... foremost of all sacred scriptures existing on mother earth! As per Bhagavad Gita journey of life always belonged to our soul atman and never the manifest human form.

As detailed in Bhagavad Gita it is our soul atman that manifested human body to work out its karma... cleanse self of dross impurities within! Our soul atman is the absolute master and controller of human body and not vice versa! It is not within the capability of human body to manifest a soul atman!

Where will be the soul after death... concept of heaven and hell (swarga and naraka in Hinduism) is best understood following jnana wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita. Heaven and hell are not places where human beings could go bodily after death of mortal frame! Heaven (swarga in Hinduism) existed in core of sun where temperatures exceed millions of degrees centigrade!

It is in such high temperatures... our soul atman felt comfortable! Hell (naraka in Hinduism) existed in periphery of sun where temperatures are considerably less! It is in such low temperatures our soul atman suffered for eternity! No sooner parents became available on mother earth... hibernating soul atman immediately manifested a new form and starts new journey of life!

As our soul atman is indestructible... can neither be created or destroyed... death carries no meaning in cosmic system! The entire journey of 8.4 million manifestations... an earthly life cycle of 96.4 million years is one single span of life for a soul atman... absolutely unbroken... uninterrupted! For a soul atman every manifest body is a temporal phase in its life cycle!

The form of human beings is manifested by our soul atman after passing through 7.3 million bodies in insect, plant and animal form! In the remaining 1.1 million manifestations in human form one is expected to reach stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha)! Reaching cosmic end of life is the ultimate goal of life for every human being.

As death carried no meaning in cosmic system... it is better we travel spiritual path early in life! It is only by travelling spiritual path... undertaking uncharted spiritual journey... path of unknown human beings finally unveiled hidden secrets of earthly sojourn! Moving ahead step-by-step... a serious seeker of spirituality finally reached God Almighty... the stage of enlightenment!

The cycle of birth and death... existence of heaven and hell... the doctrine of reincarnation... rebirth is best understood following seven hundred shlokas verses contained in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! Human beings reached stage of enlightenment only through path of Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! Through no other religion could one can gain enlightenment... no matter what!

The doctrine of Bhagavad Gita given to mankind by Lord Krishna in battle of Mahabharata forms summum bonum of spirituality! For a serious seeker of spirituality fearing death all the time carried no meaning! The occurrence of death in cosmic system was as simple as changing of guards at Buckingham Palace.

On the earthly plane after death of mortal body family weeps bereaved but on cosmic scale nothing much has happened! After death of one form... our soul atman shall manifest another form based on residual balance of karma of that moment! Reaching cosmic end of life... 8.4 millionth manifestation is the ultimate goal of life for every soul atman!

If we asked, is death predetermined by god... the answer would simply be to understand cosmic crux of life... the role played by our soul atman! If we asked... what happens to our soul after we die... the answer would be understanding intricacies of spiritual system! It is only by travelling path of pure spirituality human beings finally understood teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita!

Stated inversely... travelling spiritual path meant trying to understand gist of sacred Bhagavad!

As our soul atman is the absolute master and controller of human body, cosmic life... the crux of journey of the soul after death according to Hinduism also rested with our soul atman and never the manifest human form! The mystery behind birth death... cause of death birth becomes clear only after reaching stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana)... never before!

No matter how best people belonging to other religions tried understanding crux of life after death... the answer to all riddles of life always rested with sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism!

I was born in a Jain family... Jain religion... still, throughout life I followed dictates of Bhagavad Gita! Having realized God in 1993 at 37 years of age... the fears of death no more disturbed me! I have become a pure soul atman... the need for me to manifest another form now ceased to exist! Having reached 8.4 millionth manifestation... this is my last manifestation on mother earth!

As per Bhagavad Gita we are primarily a soul atman on its cosmic journey of 8.4 million manifestations that entailed an earthly life cycle of 96.4 million years! We are not a soul atman encased in a human body... we are cosmic consciousness much above comprehension of most human beings on mother earth!

The intricacies of spiritual path can never be understood by travelling religious path... path of rituals! For understanding concept of heaven and hell... what comes after death... concept of afterlife our indulgence in teachings of Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism is mandated! In absence of teachings of Hinduism nothing much can be achieved on spiritual path!
