Inner Self definition: definition of inner self is straight and clear; knowing our true inner self... our soul atman... the spirit within! It has been made amply clear in various sacred scriptures of different religions of world that we have a soul atman within our human body. In fact... it is not the human form that has manifested a soul atman... the spirit within!

It is exactly the opposite. Our soul atman... the spirit within has manifested human form to work out its karma... remove dross impurities within! Removal of dross impurities within a soul atman becomes possible through doctrine of karma! By indulgence in good karma... positive karma all the time human beings finally negated karma to zero!

The moment our karma annihilated to zero we reached our true inner self... our soul atman... the spirit within! Stated in simpler words... our soul atman finally regained its lost original pure prime pristine primordial form... moment human beings reached stage of enlightenment... kaivalya jnana! Gaining enlightenment... finding our true inner self... reaching 8.4 millionth manifestation... all meant the same!

For a serious seeker of spirituality... how to find your inner self is not a bigger problem but practising Brahmacharya Vrata (practice of absolute celibacy) and establishing absolute control over five senses and mind... definitely is! For establishing control over five senses and mind God Almighty ordained an earthly journey of 12.4 million years... a cycle of 1.1 million manifestations!

Travelling path of spirituality is a necessity of our soul atman... the true inner self! The human form is but a temporary sojourn in the entire life cycle of a soul atman spanning 96.4 million earthly years! As per sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism human form is highest manifest stage in cosmic life cycle... it is only in human form our soul atman gained absolute purity!

Absolute purity of our soul atman... the stage of enlightenment can only be reached by travelling spiritual path... never path of religion... path of rituals! Gaining absolute purity by our soul atman meant human beings reaching God Almighty forever! The purified soul atman... the liberated soul atman finally entered abode of God... kingdom of God (termed Vaikuntha in Hinduism)!

Essence of life in body is the cosmic crux of life! In absence of cosmic consciousness... in absence of our true inner self... our soul atman... the spirit within... the entire cosmos carried no meaning! From beginning to end... from first manifestation as an amoeba... to last as human beings... effort of every soul atman remained gaining absolute purity!

A purified soul atman merged with God Almighty similar as an individual piece of puzzle is put in its right place to complete the puzzle. The individual piece of puzzle is an independent soul atman... the completed puzzle God Almighty! The effort of a soul atman to merge with God Almighty is termed yoga in Hinduism! In English yoga is termed meditation.

Unless human beings undertake journey of the self one could never reach stage of enlightenment ever! By travelling spiritual path... path of unknown human beings finally crossed all barriers of ephemeral life... finally reaching stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana)! The moment an enlightened one left the mortal frame... one reached stage of salvation (moksha)!

Meaning of inner self is best explained in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism... foremost of all sacred scriptures existing on mother earth! Following teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita... any human being world over... belonging to any religion, faith or belief can reach stage of self realization... God realization (termed enlightenment in English)!

Enlightenment... reaching our true inner self is not that easily achieved... prime reason why in the last about 150 years amongst 7 billion people existing world over only two persons succeeded in completing the spiritual journey... spiritual stalwarts Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa... and Maharishi Ramana!

Both Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana initially started their search of God... their true inner self... via path of bhakti yoga... path of rituals! But finally both switched to path of jnana yoga... path of absolute wisdom! Our true inner self can only be reached by contemplation on God Almighty! Practising Neti (not this, not this) as preached and advocated by Maharishi Ramana is a sure shot method of realizing God in present life time.

No matter how best one tried... our true inner self can only be reached by undertaking spiritual journey! Simply by going to temples, churches or mosques... by taking a dip in sacred Ganges River none realized God ever! The essence of life never laid in temples, churches or mosques... God Almighty is always found in small affairs of life!

Living life like a true trustee of God Almighty... acting nishkama karma way throughout life human beings finally penetrated veil of Maya (veil of illusion) as detailed by Adi Shankaracharya! Unless we cut across bondages of family life forever... one could never realize self... no matter what! Realizing self is stepping into domain of our true inner self... our soul atman... the spirit within!

JRD Tata... the scion of Tata Empire was a true Karma Yogi par excellence! JRD Tata lived for benefit of mankind! Not for once JRD Tata worked for accumulating wealth! For JRD Tata... everything belonged to God Almighty! He was only a trustee of God Almighty taking care of his possessions... and in that JRD Tata truly excelled!

For reaching our true inner self our indulgence in nishkama karma way of life is an absolute must. In the present materialistic world... dominated by a bloated ego most human beings pursued material riches of life... can such people ever be expected to realize their inner self... reach God Almighty in their lifetime?

Knowing well that worldly wealth can never be taken to next life... still; human beings clung to ephemeral riches of life as if they were wiser than the rest! What passes to next life are virtues earned on spiritual path! Virtues can only be gained by indulgence in good karma... positive karma all the time!

Grace of God Almighty becomes available to one who travels path of nishkama karma! Even though JRD Tata never travelled spiritual path... yet he inherently followed dictates of Bhagavad Gita all the time! People of caliber of JRD Tata are not to be found in day-to-day affairs of life... the present scion of Tata industry... Ratan Tata just acts as a manager... never a trustee!

God truly helps those who start their journey of God early in life. I started in search of God six years of age. By 13 my simple desire turned to firm conviction... no matter what I shall see and meet God in this very life! 25 years of yoga meditation... I finally reached my true inner self when in wee hours of third of August 1993 I finally realized God... becoming a pure soul atman!

This is my last manifestation on mother earth... the 8.4 millionth manifestation... last in cosmic life cycle! Nowhere else to go further I shall but attain salvation (moksha) the moment I leave my mortal frame! Having gained absolute purity as a soul atman... I need not manifest another body! My karma having reduced to zero... the need to manifest another body now ceased to exist!
