As per Bhagavad Gita... essence of absolute truth laid in our understanding cosmic system in totality! Absolute truth was one and only one... God Almighty himself! As per Bhagavad Gita other than God Almighty nothing else existed in cosmic system! God Almighty was the only absolute truth of life... something that could never be denied by human beings! The presence of ego within dissuaded us from understanding real essence of life... the absolute truth of cosmic system! It is only by cutting across shackles of karma... i.e. establishing absolute control over five senses and mind human beings finally reached stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and salvation (moksha) forever! Universal truths... the absolute truth of life could never be reached via path of religion... path of rituals! For reaching absolute truths of life... undertaking spiritual journey was mandated by God Almighty! If we are to realize God in all its glory... our travelling uncharted path of spirituality was an absolute must... the path of unknown! Absolute truths of life could only be reached via path of jnana yoga... path of absolute wisdom... never path of religion... path of rituals! Path of jnana yoga entailed diving deep into bottomless pit of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita Hinduism! God Almighty can only be reached via path of contemplation... path of jnana (wisdom)... never path of bhakti yoga... path of karma yoga!
Reaching God in a limited time span of 70 to 80 years is almost next to impossible... prime reason why God entailed a long journey of 1.1 million manifestations (an earthly life cycle of 12.4 million years in human form) to reach stage of enlightenment (termed kaivalya in Hinduism)! Truly God could not be reached that easily... one requires willpower demonstrated by Swami Vivekananda! Travelling path of jnana yoga entailed following teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! The wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita could not be assimilated literally... it demands reading in between the lines! Only a serious seeker of spirituality like Swami Vivekananda was fit enough to travel spiritual path!
In present materialistic age dominated by a sensual environment... establishing absolute control over five senses and mind seemed almost impossible... prime reason why people preferred travelling religious path than path of spirituality! People always desired taking shortcuts to God almighty... knowing well there never were shortcuts to reaching God... Brahman in Hinduism! Travelling path of jnana yoga demanded practising absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation! For full awakening of Kundalini Shakti... the coiled Serpentine energy lying dormant in base of spine... practice of absolute celibacy was mandated by God Almighty! Full awakening of Kundalini Shakti led to opening of Sahasra Pushpa (thousand petaled Lotus) existing in our brain behind forehead!
One single scripture... the sacrosanct Bhagavad Gita is not only full of absolute truth... it contains truth... but only truth! Follower of Bhagavad Gita finally gained enlightenment in ones lifetime! In present times for reaching God... one need not follow wisdom contained in Vedas... Puranas, Itihasas, Agamas and Darshanas! Upanishads (independent treatises) definitely are of great help.
