If going to the temple really helped... the whole community would be sitting on the doorsteps of every temple in the World. Going to the temples is only a ritual and ritual never helps one proceed on the path of pure Spirituality for most of the rituals are followed blindly without any iota of the meaning of what is being discussed upon or discoursed.

Belief in God is not related to going to the temples. Everyone has an atman the soul within his self... and this Atman is of the same nature as God Almighty. atman the soul within is but a minuscule form of God. It is because of this Atman (the soul) present within a body that we pray to god.

I have been in my life to a temple many times when I was young but I was never told of the merits of going to a temple. Whenever I had a query... there was no one present including my parents who were willing to satisfy my queries. At a certain stage in life I lost complete interest in the temples... it is almost above 25 years that I have been to a temple excepting maybe once every year on the insistence of my family and that to on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti (the most revered festival of Jain community... the birth date of Bhagwan Mahavira) the 24 Tirthankara of Jainism.

If all the people of your age do not feel this urge... how will the community grow by itself? We all are a part of the evolution. Not only we human beings... but also every other form of life reaching the stage of puberty feels like this. If we channelise these powers to more positive orientations in life then it is possible for us to become a Birla or a Tata in our life. On the contrary we may expense with this positive source of energy and lose everything.

The Kama in every Human being be one a male or female takes over one reaching the stage of puberty... thereafter it is only the merits in store which help us in our journey of life. If our samskars (family traits of character imbibed in us) do not stop us then we might indulge in free sex something that is totally prohibitive in the domain of God. AIDS has been sent on to this Earth by God Almighty only to teach the free society a lesson in itself. The promiscuous behavior of a human being is totally unacceptable and God never destined it for the Human animal to behave in this manner.

The urge for indulging in kama must never be suppressed rather it should be channelised in a more appropriate manner by transmuting the sexual energy to a more creative pursuit of life as is the case with highly successful people in this World. Their success is primarily built on transmutation of the most important of all the energies present within human beings... the sexual energy. Every human being gets a dose of this energy every month be one a man or a woman. Most loose this energy unknowingly.

Retaining this energy and diverting it to creative pursuits in life gives one the desired impetus that is so necessary to be successful in the present competitive World. There is a particular mantra chanting of which relieves one of the ills associated with this bubbling energy. At this stage of life I would not be able to disclose this mantra but all I can say is, treat every woman in the World as your mother, sister or a daughter. There is no fourth dimension to this relationship.

This creative energy can also be put to rest by forming a goal in life. The moment you start pursuing this career... this object-oriented goal of life... you shall not find time for pursuing the God of love, the Cupid within us. All distractions from the other gender seem to disturb us only when our mind is free of any useful work. If you do not look at a female from an object point of view... you shall be able to control your desires to some extent.

Men and women are both part of the creation. One is attracted to the other does not mean that we indulge in thoughts of the sexual nature which perturbs our normal working. Gaining control over this part of the sense is the strongest in the life of a normal Human being... for developing self realization as the goal of life... one needs to practice absolute celibacy for a continuous period of 12 years minimum.

Nothing in this life is unachievable... we need to have a stronger resolve! The moment you see a mother, a sister or a daughter in every woman you come across... you shall one day cross over the threshold of kama, the God of love.

 Full text of query: I believe in God and his power. I goto temple very often and I am 27, a male bachelor. Now a days my mind is completely occupied by kama. Is it my age or myself. Does all people of my age feel this? How can I overcome kama and concentrate on other things? Please suggest me and put me in light of wisdom.
