Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism is absolutely clear on what happens after death! Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism is the foremost of all sacred scriptures existing on mother earth. The doctrine of Bhagavad Gita was given to mankind by Lord Krishna (an avatar of his era... God manifest in human form) in the battle of Mahabharata between Pandavas and Kauravas!

Lord Krishna came about 1500 years earlier to Jesus Christ! He was an embodiment of absolute truth! As stipulated in Bhagavad Gita journey of life belongs to our soul atman... never the human form! Ever since God Almighty exploded self with a big bang... all souls’ atmans scattered all over cosmos at unimaginable speeds!

In the melee... the hurtling souls' atmans gathered impurities similar as a rolling ball gathers moss! To cleanse themselves of dross impurities within starts the cosmic life cycle of every soul atman (soul is termed atman in Hinduism)! In its lifetime a soul atman manifests a maximum of 8.4 million bodies of which initial 7.3 million manifestations occur in insect, plant and animal form!

In the remaining 1.1 million manifestations in human form human beings are expected to reach stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha)! Reaching end of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation is cosmic goal of every soul atman! No matter what... the ultimate goal of life for every soul atman remains liberation from cycle of birth and death forever at the earliest!

Of all things... why does God Almighty explode self? Let us imagine a period of time when dissolution of old cosmos is occurring (termed Pralaya in Hinduism)! At this moment devoid of all dross impurities within size of entire cosmos reduces to size of half a thumb! And what is this half a thumb? This half a thumb... the cluster of all purified souls atmans in the cosmos as per Bhagavad Gita is what we know as God Almighty!

This colossal magnanimous primordial power we call God Almighty unable to contain itself for long in its prime pure state again explodes with a big bang giving rise to a new cosmos... a new journey of life! This furthermore confirms that God is everywhere and also existence of God Almighty as the absolute truth of life!

From the first manifestation as human beings to last... the 1.1 millionth manifestation in human form... the goal of life for a soul atman remains regaining its lost original pure prime pristine primordial form at the earliest! It is in interest of human beings to assist our soul atman on its cosmic journey... the prime reason why human beings must travel spiritual path!

As per sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism after death of human body the released soul atman immediately manifests a new body if matching parents are available on mother earth! For some reason if matching parents are not available on mother earth... the soul atman hibernates either in heaven (termed swarga in Hinduism) or hell (termed Naraka in Hinduism)!

In heaven, if the residual balance of karma is positive and hell if negative! Both heaven and hell exist in sun... heaven in center of sun where temperatures exceed millions of degrees centigrade! It is in such high temperatures a soul atman feels comfortable! Hell exists in periphery of sun where temperatures are considerably less. It is in such low temperatures a soul atman suffers for eternity!

Both heaven and hell are interim dwelling places for souls' atmans! After gaining enlightenment and finally salvation (moksha) the liberated soul atman enters abode of God... the kingdom of God (termed Baikuntha in Hinduism)... never kingdom of heaven! The kingdom of God Baikuntha is a place of no return... having liberated forever the purified soul atman remains there for eternity!

On the cosmic plane death carries no meaning... it is as simple as changing of guards at Buckingham Palace! In its entire life cycle spanning 8.4 million manifestations... the whole journey is one single span of life for a soul atman! On the earthly plane when someone dies... family weeps bereaved... on the cosmic plane nothing much has happened!

Similar as a student of class one promotes to class two... the soul atman also manifests life from one form to another! The student is the soul atman which on promoting to class two has changed form! The same student that existed in class one does not seem to exist in class two! Yet, all the happenings of class one exist with student of class two!

On the cosmic plane even though two life forms are not directly connected but the residual balance of one life gets carried to next life through the complex process of karma! Karma acts as the accountant general of cosmic system! At the time of death of body whatever the residual balance of karma for present manifestation becomes the opening balance for the next manifestation!

At the time of death of body if residual balance of karma demands one getting new life in the house of a cobbler... one simply cannot manifest the form of a Prince! It just cannot be. As per the doctrine of karma we only get what we sow... Nothing less or more! In the system of God there never are free lunches... everything results from a system that cannot err!

In his famous book, "a brief history of time" the famous physicist Stephen Hawking stipulated that system of God is disordered at some stage! The ignorant scientist failed to understand that spirituality starts from the point where science ends. It is not within the power of scientists to understand functioning of spiritual world! Why?

Science demands proofs that are not forthcoming in the system of God! In the field of spirituality it is only absolute faith in God Almighty that rules the roost! Having abundant faith in God Almighty I finally realized God in 1993 at 37 years of age! My faith in God Almighty was absolute... so much so that if God Almighty himself came and told otherwise... I would not have accepted his words!

In the cosmic system life moves smoothly from one manifestation to another, body after body! The human form is but a temporary sojourn in the entire life cycle of a soul atman! The human form is the highest manifest stage in cosmic life cycle. Only in human form a soul atman gains release from cycle of birth and death forever!

Never in insect, plant or animal form... could a soul atman get liberated forever!

The original gist of sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism is available for mere $.60 (rupees 30/=) at most railway stations of India yet, how many truly understood the teachings of Bhagavad Gita! Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism is one such document knowing which human beings finally emancipated forever from cycle of birth and death!

The knower of Bhagavad Gita finally becomes knower of all... gains omniscience for all practical purposes! This is my last birth... the 8.4 millionth manifestation! Having reached the last leg of cosmic life... I have nothing further to pursue! Having reached Mount Everest of spiritual pursuit I shall but attain salvation (moksha) at the end of journey... the moment I leave my mortal frame!

As an enlightened one, I have reached source of all wisdom contained in cosmos! If for any reason all copies of Bible on mother earth get destroyed... I shall reproduce the sacred Bible again! How? Through the medium of Shruti (universal mode of communication) I would travel to the frequency on which operated Jesus Christ!

And lo... whatever was known to Jesus Christ is now at my tips! Once it so happened that I was concentrating on Lord Krishna. The moment I reached the frequency of Lord Krishna... the original gist of Bhagavad Gita started pouring out of my mouth verbatim word by word! In my entire life time I have never read Bhagavad Gita yet the contents of Bhagavad Gita are like ABCD to me. It is as if I had dictated contents of sacred Bhagavad Gita in one of my previous manifestations!

I was born in Jainism religion yet the contents of sacred Bhagavad Gita are foremost for me! The 24 Tirthankara of Jainism (preceptor)... Bhagwan Mahavira came about thousand years after Lord Krishna. By then the contents of sacred Bhagavad Gita had slightly diluted... the prime reason why Mahavira failed to fathom the entire doctrine of Bhagavad Gita!

The 700 shlokas verses contained in Bhagavad Gita contain it all! For reaching stage of enlightenment... for gaining salvation (moksha) in present life time we need not refer to any other document or sacred scripture! One single sacred scripture... Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism suffices for gaining wisdom necessitated on spiritual path!

The sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism has universal appeal! Any human being world over belonging to any religion... belief or faith can follow the teachings of Bhagavad Gita ceremoniously and sincerely! One need not convert to Hinduism religion either! While following ones religion... any human being world over can follow dictates contained in Bhagavad Gita!

 Full text of query: I have been reading your articles with interest. The Christian philosophy of life after death is just so incredibly limiting I can't believe it. Many Christians interpet the Bible as saying that when we die we do nothing, know nothing, have nothing until such time as the Second Coming, whenever that will be. It just seems so pointless.

There's no growth, no development. Could you kindly cast some light on your own understanding of what occurs after death. I would be most interested to hear from you.
