Birth cycle... the essence of cycle of birth and death can only be understood Hinduism way of life! Before we understood the true meaning and purport of cycle of birth and death... we had to understand definition of God almighty... meaning of souls atmans... the underlying relationship between the two and physical manifest self... the body in human form!

The essence of life as laid in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism is not that easily understood... prime reason why God Almighty ordained a long journey of 12.4 million earthly years before human beings reached stage of enlightenment (termed kaivalya in Hinduism)! It is an absolute fact of life that human beings needed a chain of 1.1 million manifestations in human form before reaching final end of life... a point in cosmic system when cycle of life finally ended!

Starting from the beginning... cycle of life in cosmic system started when God Almighty exploded self with a big bang! This resulted in all souls atmans scattering all over cosmos at unimaginable speeds! In the melee... pure souls' atmans gathered impurities similar as rolling ball gathers moss! To cleanse self of dross impurities within starts cosmic life cycle of every soul atman.

In Hinduism a soul is termed atman!

It is through a chain of 8.4 million manifestations... every soul atman hurtled on its cosmic journey! The initial 7.3 million manifestations by our soul atman occurred in insect, plant and animal form! In the remaining 1.1 million manifestations in human form... one is expected to reach stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha)!

Human form is the last stage of evolution in whole cosmos! It is only in human form our soul atman finally gained liberation from cycle of birth and death forever! Moment human beings reached stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana)... it announced end of journey for a soul atman forever! As an enlightened one... cycle of life for a pure soul atman finally came to an end.

Becoming a Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or prophet Mohammed announced reaching end of cosmic life... 8.4 millionth manifestation when human beings finally gained enlightenment and salvation! The ultimate goal of life for all human beings on mother earth is reaching stage of enlightenment... becoming an enlightened one... a bodhi ... a Jina forever!

As a Christian you may find it difficult to grasp inner meaning of above stated words but cosmic facts contained in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism can never be belied! Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism contains truth but only truth. The wisdom of Bhagavad Gita was given to mankind by Lord Krishna in battle of Mahabharata about 3600 years before now (almost 1500 years earlier to coming of Jesus Christ)!

As detailed in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism... we are not a human body manifesting a soul atman within! As per Bhagavad Gita we are pure cosmic consciousness that has manifested a human form to work out its karma... remove dross impurities within! The moment complete dross impurities within soul atman removed forever... the cosmic journey finally came to an end!

We as a soul atman have the ultimate potential that could ever be imagined by human beings! We can always develop our mental powers to nth degree... a stage when sitting on earth one could split the Moon in two! This is not an exaggeration... this is an absolute fact of life! However this stage is reached only by gaining enlightenment (kaivalya jnana)... never before!

Having gained complete wisdom of cosmos... having become an enlightened one... one never indulged in nefarious activities as existing on physical manifest plane! For a pure soul atman... there is nothing to be achieved further on mother earth! The liberated soul atman finally entered abode of God... kingdom of God (termed Vaikuntha in Hinduism)... a point of no return!

Life in cosmic system is not a bed of roses! For travelling spiritual path... for gaining enlightenment (kaivalya jnana)... one needed will power demonstrated by Swami Vivekananda... the famous pupil disciple of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa! In his lifetime Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa after gaining enlightenment finally liberated self from cycle of birth and death forever!

How difficult gaining enlightenment is... can be gauged from the fact that in last about 150 years amongst 7 billion people existing world over... only two persons succeeded in establishing absolute control over five senses and mind... Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana! God Almighty is reached via path of spirituality... never religion... path of rituals!

Reaching God Almighty meant reaching our true inner self... our soul atman... the spirit within! Realizing our inner self... becoming a pure soul atman is the essence of life on mother earth! The moment human beings negated karma to zero... we gained absolute purity forever! As long as a single trace of karma remained... we as a soul atman kept manifesting body after another!

To cut across shackles of karma is not that easy... it required a spiritual travail of 1.1 million manifestations in human form before reaching 8.4 millionth manifestation... last in cosmic life cycle!

The concept of cycle of life and death is best understood following sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! Heaven existed in core of sun where temperatures exceed millions of degrees centigrade. It is in such high temperatures we as a soul atman felt comfortable!

Hell existed in periphery of sun where temperatures are considerably less! It is in such low temperatures we as a soul atman suffered for eternity!

Bondages of life existed for one physical manifest life! As per sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism... one we called our brother in present life... may become our mother in next manifestation! Whom we called our mother in present life... may become our son in future manifestations! This analogy becomes clear by assimilating pearls of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism!

In the entire history of mankind there is no sacred scripture as sacrosanct as sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism explains everything from A-Z of cosmic system! In whatever stage of life I may have existed at the time of birth of this body... but finally after indulgence in yoga meditation for 25 years I realized God in 1993 at 37 years of age! This is my last manifestation on mother earth... I finally reached 8.4 millionth manifestation... last in cosmic life cycle! Moment I leave my mortal frame... I (as a pure soul atman) would enter Vaikuntha... kingdom of God forever!
