Query: Founder of Hinduism... Who was the Founder of Hinduism
Religion!
Vijay Kumar: Founder of Hinduism Religion... there is none. Why? Hinduism religion is never termed a religion... it is
always termed "a way of life". Why? The word Hinduism was not coined by Hindus... it just evolved of its own!
Citadel of Hinduism was erstwhile Bharatvarsha (now termed India) that consisted of above 600 princely states
bonded together by feelings of harmony and
security!
Hinduism religion primarily is the foremost of all religions existing on mother earth! No
sooner the earlier human beings developed intelligence... Hinduism religion came into being! With the coming of
sages’ precipitated wisdom of Vedas (Hinduism revelations)... the first words of God revealed to
mankind!
Earlier to Vedas... no wisdom of any kind existed on mother earth! Vedas were first holy books that were
revealed to mankind by grace of God Almighty. With coming of Vedas evolved many other Upanishads (independent
treatises) the wisdom of which was invoked by different sages of different
era!
As the region east of river Indus gained a better foothold... people from all walks of life
started visiting erstwhile Bharatvarsha! As this region was rich in material wealth... it was repeatedly invaded by
Muslims from the West! The Muslim invaders pronounced H for I. They started calling people living east of river
Indus as Hindus and developed Hinduism religion.
The word Hinduism was derived from Hindus... a word coined by Muslim invaders! The essence of
Hinduism religion laid in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism... the doctrine given to mankind by Lord Krishna! After
evolution of Vedas and Upanishads came Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism. The doctrine of Bhagavad Gita what administered
by Lord Krishna to King Arjuna in the battle of Mahabharata between Pandava and Kaurava Kings.
Vedas are voluminous documents... the wisdom contained therein failed to reach commoners... even
learned scholars! With coming of Lord Krishna... essence of Vedas was reduced to Bhagavad Gita (also termed
Vedanta... end of Vedas)! Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism forms summum bonum of spirituality... epitome of spiritual
pursuit!
It is following teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita human beings ultimately realized God...
reached stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha)! Until advent of Bhagavad Gita...
the wisdom contained in Vedas and various Upanishads was limited to individual self... the learned sages and saints
of different era!
As Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism gained footing... the wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita spread
to masses! Coming of Lord Krishna... an avatar of his era (God manifest in human form) was a boon for mankind! The
wisdom of Vedas... various Upanishads... Bhagavad Gita finally reached commoners... masses!
Hinduism primarily is a collection of various holy books of Hinduism that were founded not by
single individuals but a collective force of sages and saints of different era! If one asked... who was the founder
of Hinduism religion... the simple reply would be... Hinduism religion had not one but many founders spread over a
long period of time!
Merit lay not in who found Hinduism or who is the founder of Hinduism but the essence of
Hinduism! Being the foremost of all religions... it is following teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita... any human
being world over... belonging to any religion, faith or belief could reach stage of enlightenment and salvation
without ever converting to Hinduism religion!
The importance of soul atman in body compares to importance of Hinduism on mother earth! In
absence of Hinduism... in absence of teachings of Bhagavad Gita... no human being world over could gain
enlightenment and salvation in present times!
