Query: Your statement only two individuals achieved self-realization in the last 150
years is incorrect. What of Paramahansa Yogananda, Shri Yukteswar, Lahiri
Mahasiya?
Vijay Kumar:
As many human beings in the world... as many chains of thoughts can there
be. Every human being has been endowed with the special power of discrimination that distinguishes one from
animals. Mounted with this power of discrimination... the Wisdom gained through scriptures... the ephemeral
knowledge we gain from books... we reach our decisions!
Swami Vivekananda... the famous disciple of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa
clearly admitted in his life that he was never after gaining enlightenment. But his disciples... the
masses... his faithful followers do not agree on this point! They live in a make-believe world of their own
as most human beings do. Swami Vivekananda was always after community service!
In his famous book "Autobiography of a Yogi"... some excerpts clearly
define the depth of Wisdom gained by Paramhansa Yogananda. One simply cannot be misled. One who has witnessed
the power of sun can never mistake in identifying the power of a bulb or a candle. Paramhansa Yogananda did
not achieve the stage of self-realization in his lifetime!
This is apparently and very clear in his writings! Reaching the stage of
self-realization is not that easy a task! Hardly one or two persons in about hundred years or so reach this
stage! It has been rightly said that in the last about 150 years only Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and
Maharishi Ramana reached the stage of self-realization.
The followers of Sri Aurobindo always believe that Aurobindo reached the
stage of self-realization in his lifetime. On the contrary Sri Aurobindo has mentioned many times in his
writings that he failed to reach the stage of self-realization and this fact he deeply regretted in his life.
Many spiritual masters tried their best but could not make it in their lifetime!
To believe or not to believe it is the sole prerogative of every human
being! The absolute truths... the spiritual facts can never be belied! Standing on the second floor of Empire
State building we simply cannot hope to view the entire city of New York! We definitely need to climb to the
top by full awakening of our Kundalini in its entirety!
I am not cutting across the statement of an individual... I simply mean
what I say! Having reached the Mount Everest of spiritual life... I have nowhere else to go! A simple glance
at the teachings of a spiritual master proves the level one achieved in lifetime! Life in the spiritual
domain is not governed by the facts of the ephemeral world!
Spirituality is directly governed by faith in God Almighty... similar as
we feel the presence of a flower simply by its fragrance! None has seen God Almighty... yet most believe in
him! It is faith and only faith in God Almighty that sometimes makes us see beyond the workings of the
ephemeral world. Absolute belief in God Almighty is believing in self... the real self of us!
Self realization can only be gained after full awakening of the
Kundalini! The moment our Kundalini awakens fully... the Shahastra Pushpa within our brain opens in its
entirety. This is a moment of no return! None who has reached this stage can gain self-realization! The
moment the Shahastra Pushpa within our brain opens up fully... our brain gets activated hundred
percent!
Albert Einstein was the only scientist in the world who used his brain
about 4%. Most human beings... the commoners barely use their brain beyond 1%! It is by full awakening of the
Kundalini one reaches the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi (the state of nothingness)... when one can have
dialogue with God Almighty on one-to-one basis and that t0o permanently!
Having realized self... having gained absolute purity... the liberated
soul atman has nowhere else to go but gain salvation (moksha) in this very life! Having liberated forever...
the purified soul atman gains permanent entry into the kingdom of God (aka Vaikuntha in Hinduism)... a point
of no return! Regaining the lost pure pristine original form announces the end of the journey for the soul
atman! One finally transcends all barriers of ephemeral life.
