As detailed in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism... our real self... our true inner self is the only abstract truth of life! Our real self... our true inner self is what we called soul atman in Hinduism! Reaching the source of our soul atman... the spirit within is what self realization is all about! The moment we as a soul atman gained absolute purity... in the field of pure spirituality it is termed reaching stage of self realization! A soul is termed atman in Hinduism.
As per Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism... the stages of self realization and God realization meant the same! Reaching self... or reaching God Almighty truly meant the same in the field of spirituality! The moment human beings reached their true inner self... the spirit within... the cosmic journey for a soul atman finally came to an end. How?
A soul atman gaining absolute purity meant
the need for soul atman to manifest another body now ceased to exist! Having gained absolute purity... the
liberated soul atman finally entered abode of God... kingdom of God... termed Vaikuntha in Hinduism! Realizing
self... realizing God always meant the same! In both cases the liberated soul atman finally entered kingdom of
God.
The ultimate goal of human life is reaching stage of God realization... self realization! Every form of meditation yoga... every form of spiritual indulgence resulted in reaching higher stages of spiritual life. Self realization... God realization is not something that could be imparted by a master of self realization... a spiritual preceptor! In the journey of life, every spiritual master can only act as a guide. On individual level unless we worked out our karma... unless we negated our karma to zero... one could never reach stage of absolute purity by our soul atman!
The path of self realization... God realization is always traveled via path of spirituality... never path of religion... path of the rituals. Unless one indulged in jnana yoga... path of absolute wisdom... nothing in field of God realization... self realization is ever achieved by one! Stated in simpler terms... the journey of spirituality is always traveled all alone! The entire wisdom contained in Hindu sacred scriptures was only meant as a guide... that helped in negating our karma to zero!
Karma can only be reduced to zero by establishing absolute control over five senses and mind! Furthermore practice of absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation was necessitated. Practice of celibacy for minimum 12 years resulted in full activation of kundalini energy... the coiled Serpentine energy lying dormant in base of spine! The moment our kundalini awakened fully... one finally became an enlightened one... a bodhi... a Jina... a Mahavira!
God realization... self realization... is termed enlightenment in English! All the three... enlightenment, God realization, self realization always meant the same! The final goal of life for a spiritual seeker, the enlightened one ultimately reached 8.4 millionth manifestation... last in cosmic life cycle! Final liberation from cycle of birth and death is what God realization... self realization... enlightenment in all about! The liberated soul atman... purified soul atman... nowhere to go any further finally reached kingdom of God (Vaikuntha in Hinduism)! Self realization is not inferior to gaining enlightenment as thought by many! In the field of pure spirituality both self realization and enlightenment meant the same! Most dictionaries online defined self realization as development or fulfillment of ones capabilities to the fullest potential! Even Wikipedia dictionary gave many explanations as to what self realization actually meant! Those who did not gain enlightenment in their lifetime... those who had yet to reach stage of self realization... how they could be expected to define self realization in totality!
All efforts to define self realization by religious preachers’ world over were meaningless! One look at Autobiography of a Yogi proves Paramhansa Yogananda did not reach stage of self realization! For an enlightened one... for one who had become a Jina... a bodhi... a Mahavira... the complete wisdom contained in cosmos was like ABCD! Even without going through the literal text... one could give extempore discourses in the field of spirituality not for hours, days or months... but for years! Going to a particular mental frequency... one could discuss on any subject possible!
Journey of self realization is not that easily traveled! Self realization demanded one cutting across all shackles of karma forever. This became possible only by establishing absolute control over five senses and mind. In the present materialistic age... establishing total control over five senses and mind almost seemed impossible... prime reason why only those who had the capability to duplicate efforts of Swami Vivekananda were competent to gain self realization in present times! The most surprising fact of life concerning Swami Vivekananda was... in his lifetime Swami Vivekananda did not gain enlightenment. Why?
When Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa asked Swami Vivekananda why he had come to him if the goal of his life was not reaching stage of self realization, Swami Vivekananda simply replied... he just wanted to confirm the presence of God! His goal of life always was community service and from that goal... none could sway him from his path. Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa understood what Swami Vivekananda wanted. He put his leg on the shoulder of Swami Vivekananda. As long as the leg of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa remained on shoulder of Swami Vivekananda... he had a clear glimpse of God Almighty and his kingdom! The moment Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa removed his leg... the visions disappeared for Swami Vivekananda!
Such was the power of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa... one of the two spiritual stalwarts of recent past who gained enlightenment... reached stage of self realization in his lifetime! Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa was the spiritual mentor and guru of Swami Vivekananda... one who gave the famous lecture in 1893 at the Parliament of world’s religions! If Swami Vivekananda had desired... he could have easily gained self realization... God realization under the preceptorship of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa but destiny bid otherwise! People of the category of Swami Vivekananda are not to be found in present times. No matter how much one searched... people possessing willpower demonstrated by Swami Vivekananda seemed non-existent!
Definition of self realization... God
realization is simple! We are primarily a soul atman... the spirit within on its cosmic journey of 8.4 million
manifestations... that roughly required an earthly travel of 96.4 million years! Out of 8.4 million
manifestations in one life cycle of a soul atman... the initial 7.3 million manifestations occurred in insect,
plant and animal life. In the remaining 1.1 million manifestations in human form... one is expected to reach
stage of self realization... God realization... enlightenment! Which simply means that our soul atman within
must gain absolute purity for reaching stage of moksha salvation. Moksha Hinduism could never be reached without
reaching stage of enlightenment... self realization... God realization!
I receive many queries... what after self realization... what after full kundalini awakening? Such people failed to realize that self realization... full kundalini awakening announced reaching 8.4 millionth manifestation... last in cosmic life cycle! For an enlightened one... for one who had become a Buddha... a Mahavira... the endless cycle of queries finally came to an end! One practically becomes knower of all... the entire wisdom contained in cosmos was now at our tips! Truly self realization... full kundalini awakening could not be achieved that easily! Simply attending sessions at self realization centres... self realization retreats meant nothing in field of pure spirituality! Nor could self realization be granted by one... as claimed by many!
In West, in the entire history of mankind none other than Jesus Christ reached stage of enlightenment... self realization... God realization! How could those who had not yet covered the journey of self realization in totality impart half baked theories to gullible seekers of spirituality! Pope searching for God through high precision telescopes is proof enough of the wisdom endowed by God Almighty on these ignorant travellers of religion! The stage of self realization... God realization... enlightenment could never be reached via path of religion... path of rituals!
For realizing self... for God realization... indulgence in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism was necessitated! The shackles of karma can only be negated to zero by indulgence in jnana yoga... path of absolute wisdom! In West most people did not understand what jnana yoga of Hinduism was all about. Unless one indulged in path of self enquiry... path of Neti (not this, not this) as preached and advocated by Maharishi Ramana... none could reach stage of self realization... God realization... enlightenment! Neti... self enquiry was best practiced in savasana way of yoga! Lying in savasana pose of yoga... one could indulge in negating everything that was not God!
Ever since inception of mankind... the doctrine given to mankind by Lord Krishna in form of teachings of Bhagavad Gita formed core truths of life! Lord Krishna came almost 1500 years before coming of Jesus Christ... about thousand years before coming of Mahavira... 24 Tirthankara of Jainism (preceptor)! The doctrine of Bhagavad Gita contained truth but only truth. With passage of time teachings of Bhagavad Gita do not dilute! They are available in their original form from Gita press, Gorakhpur, India for mere $.60 (rupees 30/=) and that too with English transliteration!
Commentaries on Bhagavad Gita are many but the original truths of life detailed in Bhagavad Gita never diluted with time! Reading the original explanations from Gita press, Gorakhpur, India is an eye-opener that had no parallel in mankind. The most wonderful truth about Bhagavad Gita is... it is not a proprietary of Hinduism alone! Any human being world over... belonging to any religion, faith or belief could ceremoniously follow teachings of Bhagavad Gita even while following ones religion! The follower of Bhagavad Gita truly reached stage of enlightenment... self realization!
Self realization meant... to realize self...
reach our true inner self... become a pure soul atman... the spirit within! This could be done by assimilating
pearls of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism. As per Bhagavad Gita... every single human being on
mother earth had the right to realize God... realize self... gain enlightenment at the end of spiritual journey!
What we needed was... the determination... willpower expressed by Swami Vivekananda... nothing more! Journey to self realization stage is covered in stages. Just as one could not jump from class one to ten... realization of self... realization of god also necessitated our covering spiritual journey step-by-step in stages. Indulging in different forms of yoga meditation... human beings slowly unveiled those hidden secrets of spirituality... knowing which one finally realized self... realized God! Journey to self realization... God realization is not a one life process... God Almighty ordained a maximum of 1.1 million manifestations in human form to reach stage of self realization... God realization... also termed enlightenment!
Why is reaching stage of self realization, God realization so difficult? If we understand the crux of spirituality... we would realize that it is not the human form but our soul atman... the spirit within that is on its cosmic journey of 8.4 million manifestations... that entailed an earthly life cycle of 96.4 million years! Our ultimate goal of life was fixed by God Almighty. The ultimate goal of life for all human beings always remained the same... reaching stage of self realization... God realization... at the earliest possible! In human form if we had to cover journey to self realization in a limited time span of 70 to 80 years... our efforts had to be gigantic... beyond all imaginable comprehensions!
Only a very ardent seeker of spirituality... the likes of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa or Maharishi Ramana finally succeeded in reaching goal of life fixed by God Almighty! Most human beings on mother earth preferred traveling religious path... path of rituals that was less cumbersome... much easier to travel! Travelers of religious path failed to realize that God Almighty could not be reached via path of religion... path of rituals that did not help in cutting across shackles of karma in any way! Karma could only be negated to zero by traveling path of jnana yoga... path of absolute wisdom as detailed in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism!
Ever since souls' atmans separated from their source... they became imbibed with impurities on their cosmic sojourn! To cleanse self of dross impurities within... started cosmic life cycle of every soul atman. Of its own no soul atman could purify self... it needed a medium... a body to work out its karma... remove dross impurities within! Complete dross impurities within a soul atman could only be removed in human form... never lower form of species! Born a human being... the highest manifest stage in cosmic life cycle... still we indulged in deeds not compatible with our status. At times it became difficult to differentiate human beings from animals. As a human being we must always try to assist our soul atman in reaching its cosmic end of life... 8.4 millionth manifestation!
Why indulge in negative karma and mar our future. It is only by indulgence in positive karma... good karma all the time human beings finally scaled all barriers of spiritual pursuit... reaching stage of self realization... God realization... enlightenment in the end! In present life we may or may not pursue spiritual path as our goal of life but we do not know after death of present body... what form our soul atman manifests in next manifestation! If religious preachers of present era are to blame... so are spiritual seekers who always wanted a shortcut method to reaching God! As detailed in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism... there is no shortcut method of reaching God in present life. However if we could practice celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation... it is possible that our kundalini awakened fully. The moment this happened... one immediately became an enlightened one... finally realized self... realized god forever! Practice of celibacy is not what most human beings usually thought. Practice of celibacy demanded highest level of perfection that could ever be practiced by human beings!
Practice of absolute celibacy was not all about abstinence from sexual relationships! The physical aspect celibacy hardly constituted 10% of total job... 90% celibacy always being practiced mentally! One could always control sexual inhibitions forever but what about inflow of thousands of thoughts to our brain every second that flowed incessantly without stoppage! Stopping the flow of negative thoughts to our brain in totality is what pure celibacy is all about. The moment not a single thought entered our brain uninvoked... one finally reached stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi (stage of absolute nothingness)!
Undertaking spiritual journey was not an
easy job! Only a hard-core spiritual seeker... who had guts to cut across shackles of karma forever was
competent to travel spiritual path! Those who partially believed in God... those who had yet to understand the
difference between spirituality and religion... Travelers of religious path... rituals were totally unfit to
travel spiritual path. Such human beings could never make it... reach stage of spiritual enlightenment.
Believers of sexual relationships also could not make it on spiritual path! Spiritual journey was meant for
those who could transmute the most potent of all cosmic energies... sexual energy towards our only goal of life!
We just could not while away this potential cosmic energy through pure physical channels!
The moment I realized God in 1993... I formed a trust by the name world wide center for self realization! The significance of this trust... the center for self realization was primarily meant for disseminating to world community pearls of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita! I wanted to give back to the community... whatever I learnt on spiritual path! Above 3000 essays articles exist on my various websites for the benefit of mankind! A serious seeker of spirituality... hell-bent on gaining self realization in present life could easily make it... provided one was able to unveil the hidden messages contained in various essays articles!
As ordained by God Almighty... I have not constructed an ashram (hermitage) for imparting spiritual wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads! Whatever I have to say... it is presently through medium of Internet only! World Wide center for Self Realization is located in India. Millions of people world over visited my websites annually! For me it is easy to distinguish between a wise and an ignorant! In the present materialistic world... in my 50 years of spiritual travail I have yet to find a single person who was seriously interested in reaching stage of self realization. When people were unable to define difference between spirituality and religion... how could they travel spiritual path... path of unknown!
Most people world over confused spirituality
with religion! I again repeat... abode of God... kingdom of God... stage of moksha salvation could never be
reached via path of religion... path of rituals! For reaching God in present life... for reaching stage of self
realization, God realization... our undertaking spiritual journey was mandated by God Almighty! We had to know
our real self... we had to realize our real self for reaching God in present life. Our real self... our inner
self... our soul atman... the spirit within could only be reached via path of spirituality... path of self
enquiry... path of Neti (not this, not this) as preached and advocated by Maharishi Ramana! Self realized masters have been many in the entire history of mankind but in the past about 150 years amongst 7 billion people existing world over... only two spiritual stalwarts... Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana finally made it! Both Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana reached stage of self realization... god realization... enlightenment in their lifetime!
Initially both of these spiritual masters started in search of God via path of bhakti yoga... path of religion... path of rituals! But in the present scientific age, realizing that God Almighty could not be reached via path of bhakti alone... both finally switched to path of jnana yoga... path of absolute wisdom! Path of jnana yoga meant indulging in process of self enquiry... Neti (not this, not this) as preached and advocated by Maharishi Ramana!
Self enquiry... Neti (not this, not this) is best practiced in savasana pose of yoga! Lying in shavasna pose any human being world over could easily concentrate on God Almighty. Negating everything that was not God... one finally reached portals of God Almighty! Apart from practice of self enquiry, Neti... establishing absolute control over five senses and mind was necessitated! Taking control of five senses and mind was an almost impossible task in present scientific age!
Only a hardened seeker of spirituality like Swami Vivekananda can finally make it to the end! It is a different matter that in his lifetime Swami Vivekananda did not gain enlightenment... self realization... God realization! The goal of life for Swami Vivekananda never was reaching stage of self realization... God realization! Swami Vivekananda was always after community service and in that he truly excelled!
In present times if one could gain
enlightenment... reach stage of self realization... God realization... it was only possible by indulging in
sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! Assimilating pearls of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita... one could easily
remove all dross within our soul atman! The moment our soul atman gained absolute purity... one finally reached
8.4 millionth manifestation... last in cosmic life cycle!
No spiritual seeker in present times could do without Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! One single scripture... so potent that any human being world over by following 700 shlokas verses contained in Bhagavad Gita could easily gain self realization... god realization! Self realization demands absolute faith in God Almighty all the time. We also could not do without traveling path of total truthfulness always and ever!
Prerequisites to reaching stage of self realization... God realization were many! What mattered most was our goal of present life. If we had a fixed goal of reaching stage of self realization in present life... our journey was half covered! One could easily duplicate path undertaken by master of self realization... Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa or Maharishi Ramana! I have done it all my life... so could others! Bhagavad Gita states every single human being on mother earth had the potential to become a Mahavira, Buddha, Jesus Christ or prophet Mohammed!
Ample literature related to these spiritual masters of self realization is available on Internet and in book form! At this stage one must realize that essence of self realization... god realization... never laid in teachings of scriptures alone. We had to be truthful to all and more particularly us before we could realize god in present life.
I distinctly remember right from six years of age I have followed path of absolute truthfulness all throughout! By remaining truthful all through life... I could hear the sweet small inner voice of my soul atman! Prompted by the voice of my soul atman that always guided me on the right path... I finally reached stage of self realization... God realization in the wee hours of third of August 1993 at 37 years of age!
This is my last manifestation on mother
earth. Nowhere else to go further... the moment I leave my mortal frame I shall but attain moksha salvation...
