Self Realization Techniques

Self realization techniques can be many... as many human beings... as many different paths to God Almighty can there be! In spiritual terminology... gaining self-realization meant reaching God Almighty in ones lifetime! Self realization... God realization... enlightenment... all meant the same! Self realization is reaching our true inner self... our real self... our soul atman... the spirit within! In simpler words... realizing our true inner self... becoming a pure soul atman is what self realization... God realization... enlightenment is all about!  

Ever since pure souls' atmans started their cosmic journey... they got imbibed with impurities! To cleanse self of dross impurities within started cosmic life cycle of every soul atman. Similar as a rolling ball gathers moss... all souls’ atmans in their cosmic sojourn gathered impurities! It was not within the capability of a soul atman to maintain its purity all the time! To purify itself... every soul atman manifested a chain of bodies on mother earth. No soul atman could cleanse self of dross impurities within of its own. It needed a medium... a body to work out its karma... purify self of all dross impurities within! In Hinduism a soul is termed atman. 

The cleansing of a soul atman becomes possible by traveling spiritual path... never path of religion... path of rituals! Spiritual path is best traveled following wisdom contained in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism. It is only by following path of jnana yoga... path of absolute wisdom... human beings slowly step-by-step eradicated traces of karma within their soul atman! Complete eradication of karma from our soul atman is a long drawn process... requiring a maximum of 1.1 million manifestations in human form. For human beings to gain self-realization in a limited time span of 70 to 80 years of life is nothing short of a miracle. 

Those seekers of spirituality who had willpower demonstrated by Swami Vivekananda were fit enough to undertake spiritual journey as ordained in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! The journey of self realization is always traveled all alone. No matter how best one tried... one may not get a spiritual preceptor on path of pure spirituality! In case of Swami Vivekananda... he was lucky to have Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa as his spiritual guide in the journey of life! Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa gained self-realization... God realization... enlightenment in his lifetime! Swami Vivekananda could have repeated the same... but his goal of life was different! 

Swami Vivekananda was never after gaining self realization in his lifetime... prime reason why he never reached stage of self-realization! Apart from Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Maharishi Ramana also gained enlightenment in his lifetime. For following path of self realization... indulgence in yoga meditation techniques of Hinduism were necessitated. Ramana Maharishi all his life indulged in path of self enquiry... path of Neti (not this, not this) for reaching stage of self realization... God realization! Amongst different meditation techniques... indulging in self enquiry while lying in savasana way of yoga was the best!

Savasana way of yoga meditation can always be practiced anytime during day or night! Even while going to sleep one can indulge in savasana way of yoga! Lying on bed one could indulge in self enquiry... negating everything that was not God! Slowly one day we finally reached God Almighty... moment our entire karma negated to zero! Apart from indulging in self enquiry path of meditation... practice of absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation was necessitated! Practising celibacy for 12 years in continuation finally resulted in full kundalini awakening! One immediately reached stage of an enlightened one... a bodhi... Jina... a Mahavira! 

The goal of all spiritual meditation techniques was reaching God in present life. For cutting across shackles of karma forever... we had to establish absolute control over five senses and mind... we simply had no other alternative! Establishing control over five senses and mind was not a lifetime job... it required many manifestations by our soul atman to fully eradicate karma within our soul atman! It was only by indulging in good karma... positive karma human beings finally emancipated from cycle of birth and death forever... reaching cosmic end of life... 8.4 millionth manifestation! 

Path of spirituality... goal of self realization is not that easily traveled in one lifetime! On the other hand human beings preferred traveling path of religion... path of rituals that practically led nowhere! In the present scientific age... none could gain self-realization... God realization... enlightenment via path of religion... rituals! Indulging in karma all the time we could not expect eradicating karma from our soul atman! It was only by indulging in nishkama karma way of life... serious seekers of spirituality finally made it to the end! 

On path of pure spirituality... karma must always be performed nishkama karma way... i.e. offering fruits of karma performed to God Almighty all the time! When the journey of life never belonged to manifest physical form... the fruits of karma performed also belonged to its original owner... our soul atman... the spirit within! The present human form was manifested by our soul atman to gain absolute purity at the earliest. This became possible when human beings traveled path of spirituality that directly took us to God Almighty. 

Our soul atman rested in our heart! Through process of pranayama ... the right breathing meditation technique one could easily reach the source that required breathing! The moment one succeeded in reaching the source of breathing forever... all was over for the human form! One finally reached stage of self realization... God realization... enlightenment! 

Meditative breathing technique of pranayama was essential part of all forms of yoga meditation! The right breathing procedure can be easily followed by anyone. Following path of pure spirituality definitely was difficult but for a serious seeker of spirituality... nothing was impossible! Self realization theory had its pitfalls! In my search for God Almighty, I do not remember how many times I had to eat hell for breakfast... how many contemplations of suicide!

The goal of my life was fixed... reach god within this life! No matter what the difficulty... I had to reach god within present life! 25 years of yoga meditation... in the wee hours of third of August 1993 I finally realized God at 37 years of age! This is my last manifestation on mother earth. Having become a pure soul atman... the need for me as a pure soul atman to manifest another body now ceased to exist! Nowhere to go further... I as a liberated soul atman shall attain moksha salvation... finally entering kingdom of God... abode of God... termed Vaikuntha in Hinduism! 

Having reached the ultimate goal of life... having become a master of self realization... one thing is absolutely clear to me! The stage of self realization... God realization could only be reached via path of jnana yoga as detailed in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! In the present scientific age... one could never reach God via path of bhakti yoga alone! The wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita could not be assimilated literally... it demands reading in between the lines! 

By remaining truthful all throughout... one could easily grasp the inner meaning contained in 700 shlokas verses of Bhagavad Gita! Truthfulness was the most vital ingredient on path of pure spirituality. Unless one was truthful to core... wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita could never be understood! I receive so many queries from people world over that they had read Bhagavad Gita several times! Such ignorants of path of pure spirituality failed to realize that gist of Bhagavad Gita could never be understood literally... one had to first become absolutely truthful! 

The original dictate of Bhagavad Gita by Lord Krishna in battle of Mahabharata is available for mere $.60 (Rs. 30/=) from Gita press, Gorakhpur, India... still, how many people world over understood contents of Bhagavad Gita... perhaps not even few that could be counted on fingers! 

Self realization also could not be imparted by religious preachers of today... as claimed by many! Eradication of karma can only be done by the individual concerned! Bhagavad Gita categorically states that karma of one could not be affected by karma of others. Every single human being on mother earth had to travel journey of self realization all alone! Spiritual masters if any... could only act as a guide in the journey of life!
